I think there are OCs out there who would kill to have TA and know exactly how to get the most out of him. Plus he's a positive guy and an all out football player. Harvin is a head case they were lucky to get anything for.
SO....why would we get rid of him for an unknown commodity? Sorry, don't get it. Sounds like a pipe dream.

AT least throw a name out there if this is what you would do.

LOL

Always has to be one. People can't crap on Cook this week. People can't throw a fit over Greg Robinson not playing. People can't go after Jenkins. People can't go after Quick. Craig Dahl is gone. John Fassel and Jeff Fisher can't be targets today. Nobody can jump on Schotty.

Guess Tavon is the target of the week.

Let me remind you of something, on that 3rd down play right before the fake punt that could have won or lost the Rams the game, who did Seattle put Richard Sherman on? Oh right, they put Richard Sherman on Tavon Austin. Why would they do that?

Next time, read the thread before you attack people.

Some people just cannot enjoy a rare, awesome moment. Starting to sound like the PD around here recently....

He sees what the rest of us see... Which is u whining and bitching all over this board. Stop trying to play both sides of the fence.

You know what, forget it. If people can't talk football just because we won, I'll wait until we lose.

I mean, a good offensive lineman that a team would trade for Tavon?

YO YO YO..everyone take a deep breath and chill the heck out here please

Hey MODS, apparently there's no football talk allowed today.

Please delete this thread if you wish.

Forget it. Losing discussion. I, for one, am glad to have Tavon, and am interested in seeing what he will do for us in the future. Offensive lineman can be had, just about anywhere.

I think TA has amazing talents. That's not my point. My point is I think a talented and younger O-line would have a greater net value for the Rams now and going forward.
they'll just have to reinforce the line next offseason through different ways cus if that line gets solid and there's a solid QB back there then the offense could thrive with tavon lined up anywhere. force defenses to play safe. he's the IT factor waiting to be unleashed once things start clicking for a full 60 mins. start looking at good free agents for next year and drop Long

Huh? I think everyone disagrees with you, that doesn't mean you're not allowed to voice your opinion. You just have a very unpopular opinion, you have to expect some backlash for a thread with such a radical suggestion

There are a few people attacking him for being voicing his opinion instead of "enjoying the win". I think the whole "enjoy the win" concept is ridiculous. Might as well shut down the forum and put a big giant like button that says "Like of GTFO". That isn't the type of culture ROD wants i don't believe. Disagreeing is one thing, telling someone to hold their tongue because we won and want rainbows and butterflies is another.

I am. This isn't negative. I think the Rams would have an overall better offense with a better O line.
The Rams need the current lineman to play to their potential. Isn't the o line coach suppose to be one of the best at coaching up players? If so he needs to make it happen. I will give you that we need to sure up depth because we really struggle when a starter goes down.

I did read the thread. I didn't attack anyone. I simply made the point that there always has to be someone for the fans of this team to crap on.
Big time disappointment. Was never a fan of the pick. I was ecstatic the Rams drafted Bailey. Always figured he'd have the greater impact as a whole than Austin. Players you trade up for, have to show something by now. Granted, his growth got stunted missing the last 4 games last year, but still....
I don't think he'd bring back much in return, TBH. Certainly nothing close to what the Rams gave up to get him. He's not even very good at PR.

You simply opened the can of worms.

OL Coach has coached people up. Barksdale, Saffold, and Robinson have actually been the strength of the OL. It's the established veterans that have been holding us back.
