If the Cleveland Browns want to trade up to 26 to draft Jaxson Dart, then make the deal. Not sure if Dart is the right pick, but if the Browns want him, I know he's the wrong pick.

The one thing about that team is, even if unrealistic, they need to at least win a playoff gane next year or they could finally move on from Tomlin and maybe it hits their FO as well.

They have vets like Watt, Heyward, and Tomlin has to win a playoff gane at some point. So if they add Rodgers, they could be in a win now mode and may not be willing to spend a 1st on a QB who won't help this year.
Like the Rams, the player they draft at #21 isnt going to be the difference maker for their team's success. Only way that player makes an impact is due to injury, which can also include QB
Not even sure Rodgers will end up there, he doesnt want to be there and everyone knows it

Rodgers has paid his dues with cold climates. Green Bay, New York and now they want him in Pittsburgh, where he will have to play in Baltimore, Cleveland & Cincinnati, plus Pittsburgh for 9 games?

I liked Rodgers advice to Stafford. The Grass isn’t always greener somewhere else.

Ironically the Jets uniform was a bit greener. If he goes to Pittsburgh he will have left LaFluer and Green Bay, not for one offensively challenged team but a second one now. I wouldn’t want to sign that deal either. I guess he overestimated his worth.

It’s possible Snead has mentioned Dart to generate momentum for the player which helps our chances of trading out of 26 to a QB needy team like the Browns.

This ain’t checkers, it’s chess.
I think we overestimate how much subterfuge and maneuvering these front offices do ahead of the draft.

I don't know, a good player at DL, CB, OL, certainly could be a big help. Look what Verse did for us.

Count me in with the group that says if Dart is there at #26, they should take him
I'd be beyond shocked if the Rams were to take a QB with any of their top 3 picks.

Snead and McVay have already proven in 2018 and in 2021 that they like to go "all in" when they've got a legit Super Bowl window. So they'll want their 1st round pick to contribute right away.

And a developmental QB would contribute NOTHING in 2025 beyond holding a clipboard behind Jimmy G.

On top of that, McVay has been "spoiled" with coaching only #1 overall QB's in Goff and Stafford. Both guys are prototypical franchise QB's. Dart is a good prospect for sure, but not a true elite prospect like Goff and MS.

I would entertain sending 26 & 202 to the Jets for 42 & 73 and draft Elijah Arroyo ........ McVay would get the TE he's been looking for without having to sweat

And they likely wont. Whoever they draft will be depth and a future starter. Dart will be gone long before 26, so there's really no point in debating his value

I shouldn't have said "right away"-- I meant "sometime in their first season." Given the frequency of injuries, I definitely could see a first-round pick being pressed into action at CB, ILB, OT, TE, or even WR.

But a 3rd string QB... one hopes they never see the field.

And our 2nd string QB hasnt played a full season in forever. See: Brock Purdy's opportunity
For the Rams, its all about BPA if they stay at 26, and a solid depth/future contributor.

If I had to guess right now, they probably end up sticking and picking at 26 and take a CB.

I saw Trey Amos was recently mocked to them in one of the NFL Network guy's mocks. That makes sense to me. He is a bigger CB and could be the #1 CB in our secondary rather quickly. And they need a legit top young CB.

I would prefer a bolder move to get our QB of the future, but that just might not be in cards this year.
