Stats from PFR.com, 1994 is as far as they go back.

Kinda paints a picture, doesn't it? Average of 8.28 yards to go on 3rd down (!) and a total of 17 rushing attempts (not yards, read it wrong) on 3rd down. We're losing 1st and 2nd down, and because of that we're hamstrung on 3rd. This is a bad, bad offense.

@RAGRam, can you run the same report on worst ToGo on 3rd down in NFL history?

Combination of things.

-Pressure on Foles is pretty constant.
-Foles doesn't read the field well even when there is time.
-When Foles does have to make a tough throw, not uncommon for him to miss.
-WR's that can't break defenders down. Almost takes a complete defensive breakdown to get an easy pitch and catch.
-Then factor in all the terrible drops and fumbles.

Just not good

He may have had the great attitude they were looking for, and he may have the leader they were looking for.

But they never ever should have given him an extended contract before seeing him play in just one NFL game.

I don't know if anyone wants to trade even a nickel for Colin Kaepernick but I'd trade a Nick for him without blinking.

Dear god I'm sick of having one of the shittiest offenses in the league that no one fears.

Well we survived the worst 5-year run of football the NFL has ever seen... we can survive the worst 3rd-down offense the NFL has ever seen. Somehow.
The way to solve the 3rd down problem is to keep scoring like we did on our 1st drive yesterday!! We didn't have one 3rd down because we kept getting 1st downs on 1st and 2nd down!!:rolllaugh: That was a great drive!!:D

lets not forget penalties that always either put the Rams in a 3rd and long situation( or should I say 3rd and impossible) or negate a 1st down gained on previous play.

Wonder what the stats are on that gem
