I just said it kind of tongue in cheek because that wasn't a "look at this guy we have to face" type article. It was a "local paper hometown player" type of article.

I wouldn't read too much into it. There's been a local following in the LA area for years. Over the years I've had to be out of town on occasional Sundays and a few times it was in that area. Their hotels were the only ones I've ever been able to watch a Rams game on local television. I assumed they still consider themselves in a Rams market.
