Straight-line speed is one thing.

Starting, stopping, and lateral movement is another.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed
I remember hearing a few people noticing that he wasn’t cutting as much in the playoffs. I have an arthritic back, and can do some movements, but not others. Running straight ahead is far less taxing on the knees than cutting and stopping. Sure hope he can still do that

Thats what I thought too. Heck all she has to say is "My husband is home!" and I'm breaking 35 mph easy.

So you're the guy?!
I knew my wife was cheating on me because every time I came home the parrot would say, "quick out the window!"

I've got arthritic knees and while they hurt like hell most of the time, adrenaline makes it all go away.

Arthritis is a condition that can flare up, and also "go away". I'm not sure you can "manage" it.

So it's not some big shock that he is running like the wind.

I'm also not sure if "resting" him or splitting reps has anything to do with reducing flare ups. I don't know if rest helps or if it just becomes painful on occasion regardless of use.

It's going to effect his career negatively..........which sucks because I really like him not just as a player, he's seems like a great team mate and person.

We will see how McVay goes about this run game. Evident that he wanted Malcolm Brown back to do some heavy lifting inside to spell Gurley.

Trying now to see if Kelly/ Davis & Matt Colburn can do it too. I liked what I saw from Colburn last week.
Based on snaps you would think it is Kelly’s gig. Will see if that changes the last two preseason games.

John Kelly had a few excellent runs last Saturday! Glad he had the opportunity to show something!
