They wont give it to Gurley. Look at last year when Brady won it with only 32 TD passes and 4500 yards passing (Goff is on pace for these numbers this year alone). Mahomes is going to destroy that this year if he keeps it up. Mahomes is on pace for 52 TD passes and 5000 yards passing. Gurley deserved it last yearbut its a QB award sadly. If he couldnt win it last year I dont see it ever happening.

If Mahomes can get 52TD and 5000 yards it would be hard to not give it to him.

On the other hand, if Mahomes doesn't finish the season strong he could take himself out of consideration.

If Gurley continues to put up big numbers, could be very interesting.

.

want to know how silly this award is.

last season wentz was hands down everyone's mvp, by a landslide. then he got injured a couple of weeks before the end of the regular season. suddenly he's out the window. how did missing a couple of games hurt his mvp status? so he's out and brady gets it even though he was not good down the stretch. crazy.

The knock on Gurley is that the Rams are loaded and they don't become crippled without him. Though thankfully we don't know that for sure. Chefs without Mahomes, Cheats without Brady, even Panties without Cam become very vulnerable. Shoot you knock out almost any starting QB and that team becomes less formidable... Brees, Rodgers, Luck, Cousins, etc. so that's why the MVP award goes to the QBs. Off Player of the Year doesn't have such boundaries, that's mostly where the non-QB player stats stack up. We had 3 Rams win some high awards last year which was nice, so I'm not overly concerned if Gurley doesn't get it this year... I'd much rather have the Vince.
