Ha! Goff sure shut these media fools down! Come to think of it, I haven't seen people referring to him as "Goof" lately. I hope Goff has a killer post-season and really shove it in their faces. Those highlights are awesome...thanks for sharing!

The craziest thing about Goff is when I watch his throws they don't come out on a rope like you see so many other QB's. (they do sometimes)

But the thing about it is it's like the ball turns it's way into the receiver. Almost like he has a natural curve placement that he can spin on the ball. It sometimes looks like a bit of duck and then that ball just jettisons right into position.

His ability to place the ball is just unreal.

So Awesome. Brings a damn tear to my eye.

This one is also great

Two things I would like to see these videos do is capture more of the talking heads comments on video as the season progressed and how they slowly started to give Goff Credit and back track their negativity as the Rams kept winning. This was my favorite part of the season. Seeing the talking heads backtrack and forced to say Goff might be OK, then Goff is doing pretty well, then Goff is really playing well. Of course most of them defected praise for Goff to Gurley or Mcvay. But David Carr went from Goff is a bust to Goff has impressed. Steven A loudmouth the same. The list goes on.

I would also like to see the stats flashing on the screen as the season went on with some of the amazing stats he was putting up like #1 at 8.3 yards per pass and #1 in passes over 20 yards for example. Or 6:1 TD to interception ratio. 100 QB rating.Or how about 19 TD 3 int in his last 8 games. 5 of which he was missing his top WR Woods. Then the Final stats at the end with Pro Bowl in his first full year.

How many of these media talking heads actually watch entire Rams games? They derive all of their opinions from watching game clips, stat lines and hearing other commentators. They all regurgitate the same thoughts. They don't see this kids poise. His leadership. His command of the offense. I understand that they can't watch everything, but they sure talk like experts when most of them have no clue.

Good ideas in your post. And you know what? You should probably do it yourself man.

I'd also add the eerily accurate quote from Jon Gruden during the QB camp interview, where he told Jared how things were going to break down. Prescient interview there man.

Anticipation and timing along with touch.
As important as arm strength....more important if all you have is arm strength.

Watching that video I don't think there was a single throw his rookie year where he set his feet and stepped into his throws. Such a huge difference from year 1 to year 2.

Great idea, now let me contemplate if I want to exert the energy to do it or just tell others how I would like it done.

Yea and I am of the persuasion that he just didn't have the Oline in front of him to set his feet and look down the field very often. And of course the system was horrible not creating QB friendly PA or routes to get WR's open.

I think the reason why he is not hyped as much is because he doesn't make those physically spectacular plays like Wentz or Newton. When he throws a 50 yards pass, it looks easy, and people look at it and think "well that looks pretty easy, not like that insane Wentz scramble where he broke three tackles and threw a pass while doing a backflip".
I like a guy who makes hard things look easy

Same here. Goff knows where the ball is supposed to go before the snap and makes sure it gets there. Does he miss some big plays because his mind is made up before he throws? Sure but as he gains more experience that will come and when he sees Sammy streaking down the field he will go off script and throw a bomb to him.

Also he escapes from pressure, not try to take it on head on like wentz. When his receivers do a better job of getting open when Goff escapes from the pocket due to pressure those big plays will come.

I couldn't even take all the bust proclamations last year seriously. It was so obvious Goff was shoved in to a shit situation, in which the entire team was entirely mismanaged. But the saying on Goff has always been he's even-keeled, doesn't get flustered, and a hard worker. Just needed the catalyst to bring out the talent.

Well, here we are, with Goff now a shining example of why declaring ANY player a bust after less than a season is pure idiocy.

IMO pundits now enjoys proclaiming someone as a "Bust." They just do for some reason and only after one year, but they never seem to dine on crow when proven wrong. Most of them now just give credit to McVay for coaching Goff up and to Snead for putting talent around him while enhancing the offensive line as well.

Jared Thomas Goff is a man beyond his years, he is one of the hardest workers on the team, has a short memory and is calm, cool & collected. Only 23, people forget he is almost two full years younger than Wentz and three years younger than that other Quarterback up North.

Jared Goff;

Mental quickness
You can have all the physical talent in the world, but at this level... to have success you must process quickly. Jared has this.

Humility
The best leaders know they are learning every day. They accept mistakes as a necessary part of learning. Goff possesses the humility you dream of finding.

I love this kid. Absolutely love him.
