Like when John Shaw was on the expansion committee in the 90's and understood the windfall each city was offering, Stan Kroenke was on the Los Angeles committee to find proper ownership for a LA team and again understanding the opportunity & what it would take for the league to approve plus understanding they had an escape clause in the St. Louis lease, he made it so.

Well they are technically still in the running if they keep winning although I doubt they do but if someone tore an ACL or Achilles like say Devante Adams or Maxx Crosby, that would have lasted well into training camp.
