I don’t get all of the Mahomes hate. The guy is electric to watch.

It’s not like he lost them the game, the Chiefs D couldn’t come up with a stop when it mattered the most.

What a game! Nice to see new contenders. That Chargers roster when healthy.... look out.

It's the media syndrome, the hype machine - that causes it. Remember RG3?

Took some serious balls to go for 2 at the end!

Not really I was calling for that once it go to 28-21 and on the road against Mahomes, it's a no brainier...However, I really like Anthony Lynn as a head coach, but he's been aided by having a great OC in Ken Whisenhunt and Gus Bradley as his DC and more than likely won't lose them to being Head Coaches down the line.

I think people just don’t wanna like another young Qb because they think it takes something away from Goff. Now just imagine if Goff had this type of start for his first full year of playing. The guy is basically a rookie and he has won a lot of games by some of the throws he’s made and even the losses his team has been in it in every game. Give the young man some credit.
I get that but I think a lot of the anti Mahomes sentiment comes from the media fawning over him. We’ve seen this before with other players and in other sports. I don’t care one way or another about him, I personally just get tired of the non stop coverage of the kid. Sports media does this a lot and it’s unfortunate.

Best part of this game is reading chef fans crying that the zebras cost them the win. It’s like they didn’t actually watch the whole thing.

That may be.. but food for thought - if the media was fawning over Jared Goff would the same thing happen with posts on Goff?

Yeah I mean we are bias towards are own - and I don't really care about what Mahomes does or doesn't do.

But I'm with DX - the random mahomes hate seems to be like "the who is the prettiest girl in the school" jelly drama.

But to my knowledge that's never happened on a consistent basis. To the Talking Heads Jared Goff is always compared to his rookie year when he was labeled a "bust". That's how many of them still see him. So whenever he has a bad game they go "aha I told you so."

In contrast this is basically Mahomes rookie season so they're foaming at the mouth over every great play and minimizing when he messes up. You watch. If every season from now on isn't as great as this season for Mahomes, they will turn on him.

A player who doesn't fit the initial prognostication of the Talking Heads will be either ignored or turned against. Aaron Donald is the exception to the rule. Too small, too light, etc. But they have to praise him because he's left them with no other choice due to his consistent greatness.

This KC loss sure makes for a very interesting game in Seattle next week. I will most likely try to record this game. KC sure needs to get a win in a very Unfriendly stadium in the 3rd week of December. Seattle has very little pressure on them at this time after taking out the Vikings.

Yeah I hear ya... my point is if Goff was the media daring I don't think people on our board would hatin' they'd be lovin it.

The dude is on pace to throw over 50 touchdown's... only ONE other QB in NFL history has ever done that.

Of course he is going to get media attention... the kind of numbers he is putting up are unheard of for basically a rookie.

That being all I care about his having that Lombardi at the end. Everything else whatever.

On other forums sure. On this forum they'd talk about being tired of it non stop.

Also this fascination with calling everything hate is just old. I can be tired of hearing a persons name every 5 minutes on the radio and not hate somebody.

Yeah it's not hate as in the classical definition - its means jealousy.

People in general dislike winners "getting their unfair share" and those getting the spot light so its nothing new - if that's not how you think I understand, but it's like why people disliked the 49ners and Cowboys in the 90's or the Patriots in recent years. Or the Yankees historically.. it's nothing new.

I guess its therapeutic for some people.

Sure that's human nature. We love the ones on our team and dislike the ones on the other team. That goes for every other area of life not just sports. But that doesn't mean we can't respect someone.

Also this fascination with calling everything hate is just old.

This doesn't apply to anyone in this thread but on the internet in general the word "hate" is used to shut down speech. After all if someone is hateful then it follows that what they're saying is not worth listening to.
