That's bad coaching and execution. The game is on the line. It's 3rd and 9. You should not have multiple defenders chilling 5 yards past the marker. I hate playing zone in that situation, but if you're going to play zone, you better have guys playing the sticks.

Bad coaching and Patrick Peterson cost the Cards that game.

The reason it was outlawed was because of the devastating injuries it caused.
For sure, but i'd like to see some hard data on all those devastating injuries that have occurred over the last several decades. I feel like the NFL is very knee jerk on some of these new rules. One very bad thing happens and they open the rule book.

I'm sure the NFL has some comprehensive info on the history of all these past situational serious injuries. I hope they do. I'd like to see it. Horse collar injury data.
Personally i don't think its much more dangerous than a RB trying to score on the 1 yard line or a WR going across the middle. IMO it follows the modern NFL knee jerk mentality to the rule book.

I picked up Drake, but I got Cook, Kamara, and AJones, so I’m not starting him. Trying to trade.

Cards scored 25. That says enough... I was hoping for the 50, but I got half. No reason by next meeting we get the 50 against the 9ers. Cards gave us a telling. Yup yup...

I sat Drake all year and just started him tonight with zeke and mixon on bye. Nice timing, eh?

The Cardinals made a game of it and showed that San Francisco can be run on. I hope McVay copies some of those runs. It seems letting the 49ers start pushing up field with a slightly delayed hand off worked well. Riley got them worried about the run and then surprised them on that pass play. It was a sweet call. Kenyon Drake is a good running back. Murray is very quick too. After watching this game I'm a bit more worried about Arizona than I was previously.

The refs really screwed the Cardinals in the third quarter. There were some bogus drive killing penalties called.

I started Jimmy Garrops, E. Sanders, and SF defense in my work league.
So sue me.

...give me some credit - Goff and Gurley have a bye this week!

I'm not sure how people keep calling the whiners imposters, over hyped, etc. They're undefeated and at this point nearly guaranteed a playoff birth. Winning 8 games straight in the NFL is nothing to shrug off. They curb stomped us (the score was closer than the actual game), and though maybe a couple teams made a game with them, none have yet to beat them. They're the best team in our division, and possibly the NFC. And I just saw a Cards team that is ready to compete in our division as well which makes me nervous.

I hope the Rams are taking notes because we have to play both of those teams again real soon.

I subbed Sanders for Kupp in one and have been riding SF D in another. I feel you...

Yeah, as much as we want them to suck and hate everything about them, they are a fricking good team and have the next hot young HC.

Kwon Alexander out for the season, time for the Whiners defense to start showing some leaks.
