Told ya! Brady got the OPI call. Predictable.
Predictable?

Come on man! You thought it was going to be a route and the Cowboys would get trash yards.

Stop!

That holding call is correct, but they never call it on AD. That is the problem. Our best pass rushers get held around the neck over and over without a call. It happens once in this game and is called. Fuck that.

It certainly looked like OPI to me as it did with the ref that Colinsworth asked. I’m not a huge supporter of the zebras calls but the official in New York ( or wherever) is more qualified than the guy that had to go back to film to realize that Matt Stafford is actually good.

Look at those alligator arms on the DB, he was holding on for dear life. Could pretty easily argue he pulled that arm towards him when the ball was thrown behind them

Dude was going down regardless if there was extension there or not. Good non call, but since it was the cowgirls we are gonna be hearing about it all season long.

.

i can almost guarantee that the bucs oline will not give up a holding call against AD doing the exact same thing the cowboys oline kept getting flagged on when the bucs needed to get the ball back. it will be just great technique and the commentators will be saying how they have kept him in check.

i'll never forget the time the rams were playing the whiners on a sunday night and during the game they were showing highlights on how the whiners LT had kept quinn under control and every highlight they showed quinn had an arm wrapped around his neck. commentators just kept saying how well the tackle was playing.

After rewatching the OPI play I’m a little more ok with it. Could have been OPI but defender also had too much momentum without his feet under him to fight for ball so natural fighting for position went to receiver easily which made it look worse than it was IMO. I’m more in the judgement call 50/50 realm now.

Ultimately game came down to special teams, Dallas feeling the need to throw almost 60 times, and bad clock management at end.
I vehemently disagree.

You are right that the defensive player was off balance but you have to watch the offensive player on that play and anytime he puts a hand on the defensive player and THEN extends his arm, that is pushing off and an OPI every time.

To be frank, the receiver didn't need to do that and catch the ball. But he did and he needs to be called every time.

You can't extend the arm with a hand on the defensive player.

Vita Vae is going to crush Brian Allen. Biadaz got manhandled.
Only on that one play. He held his own on the majority of the plays.

But Vae also manhandled the RG on one play.

He is going to be a handful for Allen and Edwards

Tampa left the door open with sloppy play. But at the end of the day...

It was a great game, both teams have many weapons and the Cowboy defense did showcase improvement IMHO. Overall, CD Lamb proved he had the chops & Antonio Brown looks to be back to his old form. Also, can anyone ever get a clean shot on Brady? Doesn't matter who he plays for, nobody hits him.

I don't care if it's all an act, Skip Bayless freaking out over every Dallas loss is entertaining as hell. Part of my weekly rotation during the season!

I must admit, that was a good game.
I'll put it down to being glad the season has finally begun.

Watching that fucking kicker on the cowgirls shank way too many points away reminded me of my "love" for kickers.

Dear God... thank goodness he's shanking lay-up FGs and XPs for somebody else now.

One of my sons was watching that game with me last night. He had a fantasy draft a week or so ago and he told me he had picked up Greg The Leg for his kicker. I told him then that he would regret that pick. Last night... before he shanked that lay-up FG... I told him that Greg is probably gonna miss this kick.... and then he did. I couldn't help but to laugh. Then, soon after, Greg whiffed on an XP attempt. I literally blew some of my drink out of my mouth.

Good times.
