So....
a 2-6 team can end up making the playoffs

They finished 7-2 and beat Baltimore, Dallas and Tennessee twice. G otta give them kudos.

Pederson for Coach of the Year

Really? What about Brian Daboll, Nick Sirianni, Kevin O'Connell, or Brandon Staley? At one point the Jags were 4-8. This board lost its shit over a 3 game streak in November last year.

Don't look now, but Shanahan is in the running too.

Took a 3-14 mess of a franchise to a division title. Daboll has been good too but the 2nd half of the season when you're supposed to win games he's under .500 this year. Not saying he hasn't done a good job but Pederson has done better. Plus you've got two offensive guys taking over QB's who were bad last year. You taking what Lawrence did this year or Jones?

Sirianni improved his own playoff team and Staley has done pretty good. I just think the job of turning around Lawrence and the Jags is an impressive coaching job.

Siriani (9-8 last year) vs. O'Connell in his first year, 12-4 (Vikings 8-9 in 21). Daboll, like has been said hasn't had a good second half. Staley has a shot. I like Zac Taylor too (10-7 last year). Beat the Superbowl hangover and they may be the best team in the NFL right now.

If I had to pick 1 I'd say O'Connell and if not then Taylor. But Siriani will probably get it.

The NFL is just great. Amazing wins and highs that you carry for your entire life, offset by brutal losses and disappointments that seem to rip your heart out ... at least until the next exciting victory.

Think of the Titans' fans right about now.

#1 Seed in 2021 but lose in the Divisional Round, unable to overcome QB mistakes.

Have a four-game division-lead beyond the mid-point of the 2022 season, only to be decimated by injuries (much like our Rams) and lose seven straight to close-out the season, culminating in tonight's brutal loss. If Josh Dobbs had been hit a fraction of a second later, that fumble/TD is an incomplete pass, Tennessee punt and (maybe) their Defense holds-on for a terrific victory.

Ain't no spectator/fan sport like the NFL in my opinion. Anyone want to be a Titans' fan right now?

Guess I'm not as impressed for a team basically @ .500 in the weakest division in the NFL. I'd say Brian Daboll has done more with less. Everyone knew Trevor Lawrence was/is gonna be great (although tonight not so much). Nick Sirianni made significant improvement with Jalen Hurts. At this time last year no one knew what to make of him.

I think Kevin won't get it because the 0-33 hole he was in against the Colts and then getting his ass kicked against the Packers. Too much recency bias.

I personally hope its Brian Daboll. If you look at his team, not as talented as Eagles/Vikings, in the toughest division w/ 2 other playoff teams and still clinched a playoff spot before week 18.

Impressed with Daboll going 1-3-1 in the NFCE? That's fine I guess even if it's likely to be 1-4-1 after tomorrow. Also at this time last year people on this board and across football were calling Lawrence a one year bust. Lawrence with a worse roster has 4100 yards with 25 td 8 int after last year having 12 td 17 ints and a comp % up 7 points. That's coaching bringing out the best in a player.

I'm not saying Daboll and Siriani aren't doing a good job and will be with their teams for a long while. I just think Pederson's turn around of a joke of a franchise to a division winner with the same amount of wins as Daboll is better. No wrong or right answer two guys doing a good job.

Vikings tbh are pretenders. How the hell do you win 12 games and have a negative point differential. Get behind 33-0 at home need OT to win against a terrible Colts team

Slow down with that Lawrence is the next big thing talk. Defense saved his ass, he airmailed a easy td and a few others too.

He is 23 and he will have some bad games. Not saying he is Mahomes or Allen, but he could be what Wentz was supposed to be and then some.

Well they are resting everyone today, and Philly still needs a dub to get teh #1 seed. I think everyone was in agreement that Urban Meyer was what's wrong w/ them.

I just don't see it. Maybe I'm salty over the love affair everyone is having for an org getting to ~.500.

Kind of like the Giants? :D If they'd done even decent in division I could give it to Daboll over Pederson but they're likely to end up with 1 division win.
