Snead has made some good moves over the years, but enough is enough ........ I'm done !!! 2 years in a row of horse shit free agency : the Gurley & Cooks contracts : getting screwed by Ravens, nothing in return for Peters : STILL hasn't fixed the O-line: currently in cap hell : overpaying for Ramsey etc etc etc Let Sean bring in his own G.M. and cap guys. Don't like Demoff and Pastoors either/ has to be some better financial guys around the league that can be brought in as well. We all know that the recent turn around these last 3 years, is 100% due to Sean McVAY. He's more than earned a bigger say in the FO. It's been a continual slide since the Super Bowl & they better make these changes, before this mother fuckin' train ride completely falls off the track.

Snead, McVay and Demoff make personnel decisions together, a collaborative effort. They are not compartmentalized, working in a vacuum. They already share power.

There's only one Bill Belichick....if anything changes it's a new GM. Take a look at the dumpster fire Houston is turning into when the head coach is the GM. Everything is win now to save your job and a complete disregard for the future.

They were all already in place, before McVAY got here.......... just like players, I gotta' believe Sean would rather have his " own guys ". Hell, let em' do both / McVAY is one of the few guys smart enough, that I would trust giving him G.M. duties too as well. Something has to change !

Like I said above, Snead, McVay and Demoff make player decisions together, they choose their guys together. McVay‘s guy is Snead’s guy and they discuss contracts together with Demoff. Together with the scouts, coordinators and position coaches, they stack their draft board so Snead isn’t picking players based on what he feels like doing absent the rest of the team leadership. The free agent approach taken by the team is a group decision, not one man’s decision.

Hard to see any positives right now in light of everything, but I do see them as a group who think proactively, adaptively, are willing to learn from and utilize mistakes in a bold way, value the long term perspective, etc. McVay reads a lot.

IMHO the only high salary mistake was Brandon Cooks. He is a talented but limited WR. Gurley, Goff and Donald all earned their paydays. As far as Cap Hell every team has to make “bang for the buck” short term/long term decisions each year. The result sucked but I believe the decision to not overpay Fowler and Brockers was long term correct. Littleton is a talented but limited ILB. I think he was fairly paid by the Raiders but I believe the Rams want to go in a different direction with their LBs to tighten up their run defense. I love the A’shawn Robinson pick up. I am hopeful on the Floyd pick up.

I would certainly like to think that is the way it is done (A TEAM EFFORT/DECISION!)!

At the time, it appeared like the right thing to do. McVay needed a WR like DeSean Jackson in Washington the ability to go over the top of the defense and Cooks offered that and more. The Rams traded a first round pick and then signed Cooks to the extension, ensuring the value.

This issue with Cooks is health first, he continues to lower his head to protect himself, which has only increased the number of concussions, which had led to Cooks playing scared last year, prior to the end of the year. The reason this seemed like a good move at the time was, rookie WR's also seem to take time to adjust to the NFL, however, last year three rookies proved to be outstanding for their teams in D.K. Metcalf (Hawks) Deebo Samuel (49ers) & A.J. Brown (Titans) and thus, making the move giving up a first round pick proved costly.

IMO, I think the Rams have learned that draft capital, especially with the Cap is crucial, it allows you, if properly utilized to acquire talent, that is not as costly. I do applaud the Rams for trying to take care of players that were crucial in taking them for a lower tier team into the upper echelon of the NFL like Todd Gurley and Gurley was young enough at the time of the extension, however, that knee everybody feared when he was drafted, finally gave out and it is unfortunate, but the Los Angeles Rams will learn from this and move on.

As to extended power for McVay, I believe he already has it. It's a collaborative effort and I do believe in Les Snead and the scouting department that Snead has put together on the college and pro player personnel departments. I did like the Ramsey trade, but moving forward I don't expect these kind of moves and believe the Rams have the right regime and correct power structure to return them on a cusp of another Title for all of Ram Nation, who deserve it.

Rams just need to surround McVay with great support. He should have an elite GM. Re: Snead I would let him have this season and if we are not a contender he is out.

True. But what determines a "win now" mentality is letting him know he's on thin ice. He's got a track record I feel I can act on right now (plenty of track record and for me he's too free with picks) if I'm the owner but would let him finish this offseason and see how the team looks.

We were all excited about these moves as they happened and now it's time to pay the piper. Everyone bitched about Peter's. He wasn't having a great year, then turned into a superstar when he got there. No one disagreed with the Offensive MVP getting a big contract and everyone was excited about Cooks. You live. You learn. The only issue I have is the Goff signing. I hope we can keep Ramsey, but not at the expense of this team. Trade him and get back some picks while you can and get some 2and their guys in here. We dont need superstars that eat 10% of the cap.

Yeah we don't know a lot of things as fans. I just feel like Snead's that guy who sits down at the poker table and bluffs too much and burns through his chips too quickly. A GM needs to have his eye on the long term health of the organization, which most head coaches just don't do. A lot of his moves were understandable to take shots. But when you look at them in total for me they have been too free with the picks and it is hurting us with the cheap/first term roster options.

I'm pulling for Les too btw. Not like I want to see him fired or anything. But he's just a little too loose with picks for me if I were the owner.
