The lowest cost ticket on TicketBastard is $3,100 right meow. After adding in extortion fees, that comes out to about $3,500+. While I basically fall slightly below your example category, I have two kids in day care plus other normal expenses including a mortgage.

The trip would cost me close to $8k for two tickets. With $8k I could get new flooring, new blinds and contract for moderate fixes, or a new HVAC system.

My alternative is to spend $200 on the game for food and drink, and watch with my family on a 65" screen in the comfort of my home. No long lines for food, restrooms, parking etc.

Honestly, the brokers and the Rams have gotten greedy. If you want to charge those high prices, you risk deterring your hardcore fans from attending your games.

Tickets are high but the SB is run by the NFL. Rams do not control anything with regards to SB, including tickets and prices.

Got into town last night. Seen way more Bengal fans but I'm chalking that up to Ram fans don't have to travel...I hope that's the case.

If they do outnumber us on Sunday that will truly suk as to have a SB in your own backyard and cant make it a HFA.

FINISH THE JOB!!

Damn that was a fun time. Win or not it was epic. What a great group that just found themselves together.

A bit late now, we certainly have the traffic figured out. I maybe could have helped you out there. The room situation we have no idea what that is really like right now. We made our room reservations about three weeks ago and decided on Long Beach as a good staging area that others may not overwhelm since we are relying on rideshare to get around. But.......we will see how that works out. We got a decent room for 350 a night which it is what it is.

No pre-game parties this year. Not that same kind of atmosphere this time around but okay with that. I am on injured reserve anyways so really can't get around as easy as last time right now.

You can count on us doing our part in getting the DUB. Something just feels right.

Enjoy the game, our best to your family, and as always........

GO RAMS!!!

:zany1:What put you on IR?
Ultimately being old and fat. :zany1:

Got some kind of nerve issue in my hip. The condition has a big name to it. Likely do to wearing my favorite shorts too much.

Things you just can’t imagine.

This. While the memories of going to the Super Bowl - In the new stadium - In LA - would stay with me for a lifetime (or until the 18th celebration beer and $750 beer tab), I can drop a fraction of the money, put out a huge spread, and enjoy the experience with a group of my favorite people in the world.

Also, 100% of the Rams games I have travelled to in my life have been losses. I don't want to risk jinxing this. You will all thank me come tomorrow night.

GO RAMS!!!

honestly. the wife and I could have made the trip, but considering we just plopped down almost 8k for our 20th anniversary in Cancun in a month, we decided against it

45k? Have you priced cars lately? My Passat is 45k. Not exactly some rich guy car. And 400k for a house? Shit. Here in Reno, the median price for a house is 625k. Good luck getting much of anything in the 400k range unless you want to commute 40 miles each way.

It's all relative though. The same job out there pays more because of the cost of living.

I could have made it work.

But Ive been to a few regular season Rams games that didn't go our way and the trip home, each time, was one of the worst feelings.

I've been very blessed in life so two of the worst days of my life were Super Bowl losses.

I feel confident in this one, but just not worth it for me

New cars now are the dumbest purchase and will be for the next few years... Just from the chip shortage alone, dealerships are charging WAY over sticker for most cars. Forget the C8 vette... base sticker at $60k and dealers are selling them at $140k... but lots of work trucks like an F250 going for 70% over sticker is INSANE!!!

I mean, the wife and I upgraded to a new 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring and paid $35k for it which is way more than I wanted to pay for a car, but it was a stretch to make the wife happy. She LOVES that car. Anyway, go on Kelley's site and it's lost all of $3k in depreciation!!! In any other situation, I'd be looking at around 40%, but less than 10%??? And lots of new cars actually became more valuable than new!

It's insane.
Here in MD, its the USED cars that are insanely inflated. Doesnt even make sense to buy used right now when you can get new for about the same price! Weird shit man.

Also, i bought my wife a new 2018 Accord Touring as well, haha. She likes it ok, but Im not crazy about it. The sound system is awful in that thing, and we have every option avaikable in that car, even the black out package. The car looks great, but there are some strange gremlins happening already with 20k miles. Very unHonda like.

Yeah but it's not 1:1. I can live much better in Texas than I can in California on the shay I would be paid there. Working for a huge company as a manager, I can look up what salary they would pay me in San Jose. I'm just making up numbers because I'm not doing math this early but it's like this: salaries are 10% higher and cost of living is 25% higher. It's still a net loss.

The Entertainment screen is glitchy especially in the heat. But overall, it’s a great car.
