steelers are fucked this year. that defense is horrendous. letting a 200+ pound white dude out run your entire secondary every single time. and the defensive play calling is just as bad

Well .. The Steelers have the ability to really move the Ball up & Down the Field, BUT .. Their Kicker Stinks, Their Secondary, to be nice, needs a LOT of work, and If that is the way their DC is going to call games, We are going to " Kick their Ass come week #3!! JMHO

The signal sent to headsets and to QBs is a digital signal that is encrypted. The idea that you could easily get FM crosstalk on an encrypted digital channel is just...

well, if you understood how these things worked even on a basic level, you'd realize exactly how badly they are outright LYING.

Weather might cause garbling or the signal to cut out. But... it would NOT cause Muxing or multiplexing in which multiple ANALOG signals become blended together which is what the NFL is stating happened.

Bottom line is that it simply does NOT happen with encrypted and unencrypted digital signals.

Like I tweeted, It's like for the sports journos, NFL PR > physics.

Not for me.

And if an opposing team has an issue, why does NE get 14 whole minutes of of advantage before the NFL forces the Pats to remove their headsets and when they do, the problem vanishes, only to resurface only once the NFL officials leave the NE area.

I believe what Pittsburgh is alleging based on ONE thing only: the fact that they heard the Pats FM radio broadcast over their secure digital encrypted channel.

how in the heck would an FM signal cross over onto an encrypted digital channel? They aren't even remotely on the same spectrum. That's like me getting a local radio station interfering on my cell phone call. THe way the league is treating fans is pornographic.

The entire league needs a smackdown and cleanup. No way this happens under an honest commissioner.

That's my point. That's my ENTIRE point.

The NFL is saying that because of weather and power fluctuations... an FM signal muxed with an encrypted digital channel.

Btw, pornographic is a great word to describe it.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight ends coach James Daniel allegedly verbally abused a Patriots fan in a halftime incident Thursday that also might have gotten physical.

The NFL is currently looking into the matter, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The incident happened upstairs at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, and was witnessed by police.

The depth of the confrontation is still not known.

"We were informed by NFL Security and are looking into it," the Steelers said in a statement.

Daniel, 62, has been a member of the Steelers' staff since 2004.

PATS: "<gasp> WHAAAAAAA? We were just investigated for cheating. You think we're gonna do that with so much scrutiny on us NOW?"
