Well if they trade cooks they also trade his contract so thats most of it and then theres a restructure or maybe 2 plus the cap increase and bonus options. When the dust settles i have a feeling the rams will find a way to sign at least one big contract outside of whit and Ramsey.

Sorry but, the Rams will be eating around $16 Million or so of Cooks' contract. They get no cap help this year. The cap is going to be around the same $200 Million in 2020. Snead talked about Goff's contract while he didn't say the Rams won't restructure it he did talk about putting the payment off into the future which would affect the Rams in 2021 and beyond (paraphrasing). I think they get some cap space there but, not a lot.

We can hope I guess but, I wouldn't count on it.

Here are the Rams numbers with a rollover from money not spent last year and what is remaining. This is as up to date as it gets for fans.

I haven't run the exact numbers, but with the new CBA all the league minimum players would be getting payraises - that's gotta be factored in too

I think the Rams have no choice but to keep Cooks for another season and hope he stays healthier. That is a big "hope" with his concussion history.

Thats a good point. I wonder how much of the 12 will be needed for that.
