'Hope Higbee is fully healthy and back in his blocking role. Don't want his lungs hurt anymore. Flack jacket time.
^^this - it's not all of our problems, but I think our O is really missing Higbee's blocking & pass catching threat. It won't fix Demby but with Blythe back in & once Higbee's back I'm curious to see how much better our OL is.

Hey guys - sorry been awol a lot this off/season - lots going on. From what I've seen the o-line seems to be suffering as much as I thought it would without Saffold. I'm hoping the guys will settle in better towards the business end of the season - it all starts up front.

I really wanted Saffold back. I know it was a pricey contract, but he immediately would have become the veteran glue that holds this offensive line together when Whitworth retires. He was such a huge part of the success the last 2 years, and I felt like his injury concerns were more or less behind him.

I thought exactly the same as you, I'd read plenty from him saying that Big Whit's presence had improved his gameplay so much - relieving some of that 'only vet on the line' thinking, I thought keeping Saffold, but losing Sully would have been a better option this year with a new inexperienced centre - but hey what do we know.

I’m also confident Goff will improve. I’m just wondering if all the talk from the media about most of his success being the result of having McVay is getting to him. It seems like he is passing up on some wide open easy completions and is instead trying to force deeper passes into tighter windows. Almost like he’s trying to prove a point by trying to complete tougher throws than what is given to him.

Just a feeling a got from watching the games this year.
