Biggest stat?

For first time all season, Rams ran the ball up the middle and to the right with consistency. Rams OL finally had some push. Rams OL had some control of the LOS for the first time all season.

They didn't show much continuity, but that only comes with time.

Evans and Edwards were monsters in the run game. The TE's were amazing last night. I'd love to see McVay run some 3 TE sets to mix up the run/pass game. I would think there would be an opportunity to slip Mundt out on a wheel route for a big gain at some point.

Corbett is already shown he's worth that 5th round pick. Evans is a stunner to be honest. I saw him as a project at G. He comes in and plays the best game at RT this season. Really curious to see what the plan is when Hav is healthy. Edwards is looking like a steal so far, what position does he get to call home though? If a couple of these guys can develop into average starters, it takes a ton of pressure off the front office going forward.

watching #71 on the replays - ya he looked gud. Made a huge hole for Brown on his TD.

I loved seeing that mentor/apprentice moment in the locker room when he & Whitworth came together. Then OBO pridefully shouting he went to Oklahoma.

I loved Bobby Evans last night, and the right-side rookie combo of him and Edwards were total pile drivers. Nothing fancy, no zone blocking, just power football all the way.

And surprisingly, Blythe held up well at center. Is it possible he was miscast as a guard all of this time? I guess we'll find out as the season progresses.

And you cold see Goff start to get comfortable late in the game. Fans expect a QB who has been getting hit early all year to immediately look great when he gets time. The problem is that it takes awhile to have the confidence that you aren't going to get blasted 2 seconds after the snap.

Goff made some great throws in the 4th. I would expect that if the protection holds up for the next couple of games, Goff will start looking really good. It didn't appear, in the 4th Qtr, that he had Bulger-itis, which is a great sign.

I was really worried about the line going into this game, but was very impressed. That game could have gotten ugly if they didn't play well.

The game plan was a big help for the offensive line. Pass blocking has to be better when you limit attempts. Run blocking a little easier than pass blocking. It was a great effort from the young guys. I hope they keep it up.

Also, so glad we paid Higbee. On one play, Higbee straight up stones Mack on a solo block.I cheered very loudly when I saw that.
I observed his effective blocks one on one with the Bear's ER'ers. I have been supercritical of the inked contract provided to TE Tyler Higbee. I am still not over it. However, if TH can become a big contributor in assisting this OL in getting its pass blocking act up to a constant level the next 6 games then I will be content.

Corbett is already shown he's worth that 5th round pick.
I agree here fully. I believe that Snead 2018 scout unit & OC Kromer were very pleased with Austin Corbett skills from his week-long 2018 Senior Bowl performance. AC can play any OL position but IMO the LG is his best post.

Since AC has 48 college gm starts @ LT he would also get the Rams thru a game @ LT if there were an emergency. AC should be the starting LG for the rest of this season & the next two years. Having AC here to start permits David Edwards to remain @ starting RG post where he has shown he belongs.

The youngsters did very well. Clearly outmuscled the formidable Bears F7 in the 1st half.

A wakeup call for the three injured Ram "starters".

Playcalling, which in previous games served to highlight the OL's vulnerability, also improved. Could not have done better myself :)

Real test will come should the Rams fall behind and the offense become pass heavy.

It wouldnt hurt my feelings any if from this point forward Demby was cut and Allen was just a backup. I know Allen didn't get much time and he could look better with rest of the line being solid but I just don't think hes it.

I hate to keep beleaguering this point, (or do I ) that I really feel they should have slid Blythe over to center from the get-go instead of starting a player with 0 starts in Allen next to a player with zero starts in Noteboom.

Then just have a camp battle for the Right Guard spot.

Then every player with zero starts would have been booked ended by players with experience.

I was really surprised at how good they look but I figured midseason would be the time they started showing something on the o-line.
I just didn't think we would be because of injuries to two or three players.

The sophomores didn't work out. It's time for the freshmen to see what they got!

The Rams are now a college team.

I like the Mundt idea on a first down late in the game when you need a second and short.

Injury Report 11/23: Havenstein, Williams ruled out for MNF vs. Ravens
By Stu Jackson

Rams RT Rob Havenstein (knee) and DB Darious Williams (ankle) will not play Monday night against the Ravens. Neither participated in practice this week.
LB Natrez Patrick did not participate in practice Saturday due to illness and is considered questionable.

Malcolm Brown did not participate in practice Thursday and was estimated as a non-participant Friday because he was awaiting the birth of his first child. He returned to practice Saturday as a full participant after his family welcomed a baby girl on Thursday.

For the Ravens, starting NT Michael Pierce (ankle) is considered doubtful. Starting LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle), WR Chris Moore (thumb) and G Ben Powers (thumb) are all questionable.

Below are the full injury reports for both teams. For the Rams, Friday's statuses were an estimation if they held a full practice because the players were off that day.

Not sold. Won’t be until consistency sets in. Great job, but, we’ll see...
Consistency only comes with time in the development of an offensive line but that was one hell of a good start and certainly shows the potential.

Yeah, definitely the rookies are looking better then the second-year players so far, though at different positions.

Joseph Noteboom & Brian Allen looked positive during the 2018 preseason games. JN seemed very good @ LEFT OT.

Maybe there're more advantageous (PRO) elements to playing a good amount of offensive snaps in four pre season games for very YOUNG inexperienced OL'ers...... compared to NOT playing in pre season games?

Hard to know where first yr LT/RT/LG/RG/Jamil Demby who started all 2019 pre season games @ all 5 positions did not do so well.

I am interested in following our two contracted first yr centers Coleman Shelton & Nate Trewyn. Recognizing Austin Blythe is a UFA & 2nd yr Brian Allen's very poor showing this season & now IR'd.

I was pretty surprised that Brian Allen and Noteboom didn't get work in the preseason games.
