I grew up in a small town

my grandfather had two brothers and five sisters , all of which lived within 10 blocks of our house

so when I was a kid , we had great aunts and uncles , first cousins , second cousins , third cousins all within bicycle range

nowdays I drive past their old houses and cherish their memories everyday

One of you spoke about retaining trophies after many years. I played in county baseball, basketball and flag football leagues. My newest trophy is dated 1974. Somehow, at every stage of my life they never got thrown away. I moved from Whittier, CA to Conroe, TX to Fair Oaks, CA. to 6 years in the US NAVY to Milwaukie, OR to Kansas. They are just kid trophies, but for some reason I still have them and that amazes me.
