Social distancing update: I don't get to participate.

My work is going to a 50/50 WFH plan, with half the office at home at a time. I'm in office the first two weeks.

The second two weeks I have a new person starting and so I have to be in the office then too. Then we'll be back to my in office time (if it goes that long; could we all just stop being sick already?). Oh well. At least my new person kicks ass.

Similar plan in our office.

I have had to cancel lunches with the family in Connecticut over the last few weeks, so tonight we had a video cocktail party on facebook messenger with everybody

Good job keeping your physical distance. I believe the mandate is to practice social distancing. We're going to need you to stop talking to your friends and family because apparently the people making the rules don't own dictionaries.

i’ve been staying at the in-laws while we are in Austin this past few days. I tried to use the whole social distancing thing to avoid my mother-in-law but that failed miserably......... sitting on the lazy boy forced to watch Re-runs of CSI...... no beer in the house and no red meat..... talk about AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

I'm sure many have seen this before but if you haven't it's worth the 44 minutes while you're keeping your distance. It's hard to fathom that 20 years has past, it seems like yesterday.

I'm in a similar situation as @1maGoh my job is considered essential with the State, so I practice social distancing on the weekends, but I have to go to the office building during the week and although interactions are minimized, it's still challenging and concerning. New York is one of the States that has been hit the hardest so it's like a battle every day....Everyone stay healthy, wealthy & wise.

My wife and I have been following the guidelines as good as anyone. Really trying to do our part. We think we are good for the next year on hand sanitizer and use it when washing the hands is not possible

Then like others, essential services we work in. And I sit next to a guy I may never before seen and work together hours at a time. And he is doing the same with me there.

I have been inquiring but no one seems to have the answer of how does the air flow in the airplane. If it is flowing away from us then it is like being out side and as long as you don't sneeze, cough or spit on you, it should be okay. It is the enclosed room that concerns me. Which violates the very purpose of "social distancing".

Nothing like a little empathy in the battle. For the essential workers, I feel you. For the non-essential workers, for certain you have your own set of challenges.

Hang in there everyone. Sounds like the worse of it will come and go in short time.

GO RAMS!!!

At least in the old days air flowed front to back. That's why the smoking section was in the back of the plane.
