The narrative the last 4-weeks (except SF) is that there's a "crack / chink" in the Rams armor with opponents keeping it close because of the Rams defense being exposed. Now it's the offense and how to attack it (see Packers). So there's a lot of momentum on the Saints right now with their win against Minn on the road.

One thing i do feel good about is ST - tops in the league IMO. Field position will be key. Littleton is due and we haven't return a punt return or KO in a loooooooong time. i think we are due! lol.

It's super early but this is the battle for number 1 seed. They only have one loss themselves and will own the tie breaker. Basically a 2 game swing for whoever wins.

Actually, I don’t think it is too early (Not sure it is ever too early!) to be thinking about the playoff seeding! All I know is I would much rather see the Rams playing the Saints in L.A. than in New Orleans for the NFC Championship (And, I do think those two teams have an excellent chance of being in that game!)! So, I do think this game is very, very important!

I said this a while back - the way I would play the Rams is play a nickel or pass defense the entire time - make us run the ball.

We are a great rushing team but it you take away our big chunk passing plays we are mortal.
I get your point but think about this:

Goff in fact threw for 295 and 3 TDs. Green Bay brought heavy pressure...BUT...in the 2nd half the OLine was up to the task...all it took was adjustment. I have NFL Game Pass and sometime this week I want to look at the game through the Coaches Film to get a better look at all phases.

The other thing is the Rams WRs are great route runners that demand attention...and remember...Kupp was out. The best thing McVay did was bring Gurley on underneath routes...and after that Green Bay's defense was mortal. McVay played a great game of chess in the 2nd half.

This team is growing up every game. Yesterday was a tough test and they measured up. I like that New Orleans is next. The Rams shut a few mouths of those thinking they're not for real. New Orleans is the next challenge.

I'm seeing on multiple Vegas sites as us being 1 pt dogs. I'm fine with that...

Saints have the best run D in the league.
Our DBs have tough match ups everywhere.
I think the Rams are going to have to score in the mid thirties to beat the Saints.
The Saints have a couple of good pass rushers as well. Would like to see Gurley get plenty of looks in the passing game.

I know the Saints won vs the Vikings, but in the first half of that game their D did not look that impressive. I didn't watch the second half but it sounded more like Minnesota lost that game than the Saints won it.

Hopefully the Saints guards OLine are not as good as their Center and OT's. It will be difficult to pressure Brees if so. Trading for some edge speed would help.

Yeah, indignant Saint fans have brought that line up; ticked that they opened as underdogs at home.

I’ll love watching pissy Payton get beat.
I didn't type my response correctly... WE are the 1 pt dogs.

Do you have a quote? I'm not calling anyone a liar, I just think it is reasonable to see something like this quoted.

The front of the Saints D is very good, the backside, no so much.
I expect a 41-38 kind of game.

Right just thinking of the Denver game.. Career high for Gurley in rushing yards and our lowest scoring output of the year.

(just as an example)

I don't like this matchup. Saints will hold our DL all day long and get away with it, and Brees is going to torch our secondary. Probably our first loss, really hope I'm wrong too because it's a huge game in terms of playoff seeding.
