Welcome to the Sean McVay Moment
Powered by internal combustion, Sean McVay has reached the top of the NFL coaching class, but finding an appropriate work-life balance remains a challenge he has yet to conquer.
Where is that excerpt from??
And I guess that's one reason I should be optimistic about Shelton.. He seems to be built for that kind of run scheme. I just REALLY worry about him versus guys like Armstead and Kinlaw rushing the passer.Run that zone blocking scheme and let the back find a hole.
I think that is one of the huge adjustment from college to the NFL.And I guess that's one reason I should be optimistic about Shelton.. He seems to be built for that kind of run scheme. I just REALLY worry about him versus guys like Armstead and Kinlaw rushing the passer.
I don’t know about the size.. based on what I saw and camp reports. I can’t remember if you attended camp, but others mentioned him being noticeably undersized.I think that is one of the huge adjustment from college to the NFL.
An inside D lineman that is bigger, stronger AND quicker that players faced in college.
Shelton has the size so it all comes down to technique.....which is always a work in progress.
Bruss is a good fit to zone scheme running game as well.
Shelton lists at 6' 4" while Blythe was listed at 6' 2".I don’t know about the size.. based on what I saw and camp reports. I can’t remember if you attended camp, but others mentioned him being noticeably undersized.
But he’s about the same as Blythe.
I cannot argue with that. There is not much to discuss really.
If the offensive line is able to run block we will have a good run game. If not then we won't.
Who's the best RB on the roster right now? It may just be Williams
I cannot argue with that.
We can use the same logic with weight with other players and their listed numbers.Shelton lists at 6' 4" while Blythe was listed at 6' 2".
Shelton is also listed at 299 lbs, but, as I always point out those are rarely updated.
Im sure he is closer to 315 now.
This is why Sony kept getting playing time.Funny thing is The Rams RB’s do more than run the ball . Akers as a blocker Reeked pretty bad though.
Shelton played pretty well last year when he was forced into action. We can use the same logic with weight with other players and their listed numbers.
I'm just going on what I've seen and what others have seen.
Again.. Rams were successful with Blythe, who was very similar, so I'm choosing to be hopeful.
Um... didn't Sony get playing time because Akers was on IR most of the year (and Henderson missed several games as well)? This is why Sony kept getting playing time.
He saved many big plays during the play off run with his pass blocking.
I hope you’re right!Shelton played pretty well last year when he was forced into action.
He seems to have taken the same route as Allen, minus the serious injury.
Corbett was solid.....occasional really good plays.....occasional plays where he was beaten badly.
I actually expect Shelton to be an improvement over Corbett.
