Wood's has been a little overlooked while we all "ooh and ahh" over the Draft toys Josh Reynolds and Cooper Kupp. WHAT IF Wood's is an actual grade "A" number-one WR? Imagine THREE guys who never drop that d@mn ball?
My God...

What date is week One?
Jake this is by far your best article or whatever you want to call it. Take what you did here and multiply it in everything else you do.

You're write ups are getting better Jake, keep it up. (I like that they seem less opinionated. Just the facts Ma'am).

Vegas has the Rams at 4 to 5 wins next season, which was what they forecast last season.

They are predicting that, once again, the Rams will be one of the worst team in the league.

Frankly, I cannot disagree with their assessment.

The "mirage" of last season's three and one start, followed by eleven losses, perhaps illustrates that Vegas may be a bit more objective in their outlook.

Other than LT, I do not see a single area of this team that can expected to be prove significantly better, or exhibit more quality and proven depth.

Not Qb, not Dline, not TE, not LB, not secondary, and not the WR corp.

I would like nothing better than to be wrong. I think McVay will have a monumental task this season just keeping the team's morale up and playing hard after the losses begin to pile up.

Britt was our best receiver last year. That been said....what is it actually saying.....he was the best........ of the worst. He played like a 6th grader competing w/ 3rd graders....... unfortunately....we needed something more.
I really like what Woods brings to the dance. I'm not sure he will be a true #1. But I think his effort and work ethic will certainly be a step up. Factor in a couple of new kids who while can contribute......will still be learning the ropes. I think we do have things heading upward.

Nice article, Jake.

Stats......I wouldn't call the offense Kenny's played in a juggernaut either....
Naw....he's not.

Debatable....I don't get all the Kenny has bad hands rap? Where'd it come from? A couple of drops?
Stats are meaningless to me at this point. Wood's stats are irrelevant, if you ask me. WATCH him play, and he is a stud. I DID see Kenny Britt drop a lot of passes that he should have caught.

I do....loved his game from SC....he's just an average pro at this point. He needs to really lift his game. Kenny is a stud...
Britt has made a career out of years that are about the same or worse than what Woods has put up. It took Britt 8 years to finally break through in any fashion. Woods hasn't had a year where he produced only 96 yards. In fact it took Britt 6 years to get the number of receptions Woods had in 4 years and 5 years to equal his 4 years yardage production. Britt has played twice as many games and has continually struggled with both consistency and mental lapses. It's once again amazing we Rams fans, I do it myself with my favorite players, put guys on a pedestal for mediocre production.

I still don't understand how a guy can go for 1000 yards, not be the primary target, in what is considered an anemic offense, outdated scheme, and poor QB play and HE'S the problem? He was far from my "favorite" Ram....He wasn't even my favorite receiver....I'm sure you know who that was...He was a good player, with decent stats...It will take a good player/scheme to surpass his totals...

And I'm only judging both players on the last 2 or 3 years...when Robert entered the league.

I never said he was the problem. But to act like he's a stud with the continual mistakes he made and plays he took off is just baffling. The guy had a good season last year yet you act like he's irreplaceable. Four years into their respective careers Woods is off to just as good if not a better start than Britt was and Woods is treated like he's a no talent WR by some.

Woods is heading into his prime. Britt is heading out of his prime.

Robert Woods is not a #1 guy, but he's a very good #2. You know what you're getting with him. 600 or 700 yards, handful of touchdowns. Maybe he increases his production here. Could still become a #1

Gee. Seems like Robert Woods sure got a helluva lot better when he became a Rams WR.
And it seems like Kenny Britt has gotten worse since he departed.

Kenny Britt is a tool. But Kenny Britt was the best receiver we had since Brandon Lloyd. Having said that Robert Woods may be better. He's certainly going to be a better professional. I'm anxious to see as Goff improves, how much Robert Woods produces. They're not done remaking this roster but for this year we're probably set. Woods will finally play on a team that likes to pass.
