I'm on out in the Caribbean ending a 5 day cruise. I was embarrassed for every Ram fan last Sunday...and I really don't know what to say except..."McVay...what are you doing on offense?"

I know about the trades. Been mulling them over because Ramsey *could* be a cancer in the locker room. I think Ram leadership may be strong enough to keep that straight though.

I'm gonna watch Sunday with great interest. I want McVay to get out of Goff's ear. It seems there's a problem there...but I don't know...we'll see.

I always prefered the old Giants GM's (I have forgotten his name) method.

1. You've got to have a franchise QB.

2. You've got to be able to protect your QB.

3. You've got to be able to get quick pressure on the opposing QB when they are in a passing situation.

Those are the positions you spend the money/draft captial on.

The Rams 2 is in shambles and, outside of the AD the Magnificent, Rams 3 is way below average.

So, we trade for a CB?

OK, I'll just shut up, watch, and hope for thr best.

yes we did pick robinson but the next pick was Donald behind door 2. as you said it can be argued both ways. I think we will just have to see how this works out. i am hoping that ramy will turn this df into a top 5 df if he does then this was a great trade
Well, Donald was a freak situation. Snead saw something that slightly less than half of the rest of NFL's GM's didn't see...A once in a generational player, which you could get the 10 previous #1 overall picks at whatever position to choose from in the draft and not get an Aaron Donald again. Our new CB is an all-pro, which we got for two mid round (or lower) firsts (& a 4th). I think we got a steal if we can resign him for several years...

I hope you are right but the hole league new he was up for trade and we out bid every one. that said the scheme fit might make this a bargain we will have to see. if our df becomes like top 5 then we did get a steal but with these injuries may it be after the bye week before we start to see

The Whiners have four first rounders in their front seven, three they drafted with the fourth being Dee Ford.

So do we.

Fowler (trade)
Brockers (draft)
Donald (draft)
Matthews (FA)

That’s the George Young model that became obsolete 25 years ago and led to the Giants collapse.

I think the Pats have grasped sooner than anyone else the optimum approach to roster building.

Look where Belichick puts their resources.

1. Franchise QB, Brady
2. Shutdown corner, Gilmore
3. Defensive front, smart and versatile

Their OL is system based, not much money or draft capital spent.
They spend practically nothing on WRs, they pick up FAs constantly. And they have a horrible history drafting them.

Yes, I know.
I would suspect it’s not all that unusual.
They comment was related to how someone commenting how loaded their from seven is.....and they are loaded.
But not 7 first round picks.

They really are bad at drafting receivers.

The funny critique I keep hearing is that the Rams will go 5 yrs without a first round pick.

Yet, the Rams probably have more first round picks on their team than any other team. So its not like they are not adding first round talent.

Ramsey
Cooks
Goff
Fowler
Bortles
Gurley
Donald
Brockers

Love how you included Blake in this group :ROFLMAO:

But Goddam that D-Line was glorius at its peak. Long, Brockers, Donald, Quinn with nice depth.

I bet that Giants GM would have enjoyed the last SB.

The Pat's OL "system" fairly easily handled the Ram DL.

While the Ram OL proved unable to protect Goff (or generate a running game) and, the Ram DL could not get pressure on Brady.

Pats = 154 yards rushing and one sack surrendered.

Rams = 62 yards rushing and four sacks given up.

An old fashioned (aka "obsolete") win for the Pats.

At least I don't think the Rams got cheated out of the SB title this go around.
