It's my fault. I said I was on a cruise for my wife and my 26th Wedding Anniversary (it was a great trip) and I didn't have my victory blend.

I could tell there were times when the team lacked that oomph that my blend from Florida provides.

I'm sorry. But... I'm back and I shall be properly blended for the game this Sunday.

the defensive line penalties hurt the most. hayes had 2 and someone else had 1 on the same series. if hayes didnt get the first one i think it would have been a 3rd and 11 from inside the 15 or 20 yd line. cant give opponents free downs / yards. i think the DL was worn down from a lack of rotation due to injuries, so they were trying to get an edge wherever they could. just got caught is all.

The holding call on TJ when we had stopped them on 3rd down already and even the idiots upstairs said TJ DID NOTHING for that flag. The NO CALL on TB's Grounding would have ended a drive and TWO returns with missed Block in the backs and they did call Foles for a Grounding that was Identical to TB's. Hayes had 3 Offsides and he missed getting a personal. They were all over TGII 's knees.

Donnal should have been replaced at least by Halftime By Dickerson or Coach Paul . He was an embarrasement and I hope inspired to live in the weightroom from now to next season.(haircut would'nt hurt) it helped Havenstein. Cody Wichmann played ORG and we just move Jamon Brown back to play their NT that had his best game of the year. Even Barnes went in the tank a lil'.

Aaron Donald tried a spin move on that critical run TD by TB and spun himself into opening the middle for a truck to drive threw while Brockers recieved the doubleteam. The Herd board has thread after thread of still shots of every WR on our team and even Cook running so Free I could have thrown the TD's. Yes it should have been multiple TD's. Foles had NO PRESSURE on all these still shots. All were PA passes. His time was insane so stop the OL blaming on pass pro at least on PA. Go to Herd and get mad at all the looks Nick missed. I'm in shock after seeing the all 22 looks.

First game with no outside pass rush really showed as Hayes and Simms are GREAT in a 20 play game . Not a 60 play game. Missing McDonald was just as BIG. "ALL GAS NO BREAKS" and his leadership is palpable when he plays. AP does not run on us if T Mac plays.

JJ better pull back on the tweets after the game when he gets beat on two double moves again and missed tackles and a PI. Thats not a Revis #Clamped game. Boy is crazy. I saw how McDonald is the guy who stirs our DB drink. He is their JL. Cignetti brought NO Halftime adjustments as they had our Georgia Tech offense down pat on grease board at halftime and we thought we would STAY with the same formula. BAD IDEA CIG. I think Bailey was high as two throws on the all 22 look shows Bailey ran wrong route where Foles threw to and his routes were crap. Wish I had them to show you all. Hope he is gone for good. Dumbshit.

I see 8-8 until they prove themselves. All our so called games we should win have players who will hit you in the mouth. Ravens at home will be a war. Bucs can score. Fisher show me you can coach this talented Bunch.

Yeah, his corner route that was a huge play, was lazy, and not correct. He flattened it out, instead of running the proper angle. Pissed me off. I'll give Foles that one.

As most Rams fans would probably say, we are tired of the games they lose that they should have won. We are just beyond the moral victories. The good teams win most of the games they should. The Rams at this point are exactly what they are, and most likely will continue to be under Fisher, a .500 team that may occasionally make the playoffs. I don't see this changing until he's gone. It's halfway through the season now but I'm not that optimistic on them finishing with more than 9 wins.

Amen, Amen, Amen.....(y)

I'm curious to see what some of the experts have to say about this game, but having had a chance to review the game, it seemed liked this loss could be squared almost solely on the incompetence of the o-line, with a bit of blame thrown towards the lack of our normal pressure from our pass rush. I'm convinced having either Quinn or Havenstein would have resulted in a win for us. I saw Greg Robinson whiffing on his assignment a few times, but it seemed the biggest culprits were the two guys playing LG and RT, Andrew Donnal and Garrett Reynolds. That holding penalty during I believe the last Ram drive before overtime by Garrett Reynolds really almost killed any chance of that last field goal by Zurlein! The poor oline play coupled with the lack of pass rush by our DEs really did us in. Had Robert Quinn played this game, there's no way Teddy Bridgewater has all that time to throw.

Assigning blame for this loss is a target rich environment, isn't it?

In a game that goes into overtime, any single play or coaching decision could make the difference, obviously.

If the coaches had made just one better decision (such as Donnal at LG) or one better adjustment?

If just one less drop or Foles seeing just one more open receiver?

Could have been a much happier ending and we could have been in the playoff conversation.

I lean toward giving the coaches the bulk of the blame because it all starts there.

But the players don't get a pass from me either. They get paid big bucks and they should be expected to make basic plays without stupid penalties.

I've visited the vent thread and vented a little myself, which I try to avoid.

This loss hurt, a lot, but I'm still hopeful for the season.

When AP ran his TD, the lead blocker rode the only defender within reach of AP to the ground from behind with no flag. Zuerlein kicked his butt off, but still had a miss on a windy day. TA had a great running day and was an ankle tackle away from a huge day a couple of times. We were missing many key players.

Foles was not very good and we STILL lost drives to dropped passes that could have been game changers.

It felt like there were at least 20 times this game the Rams were a hair away from taking off with it.

The truth, in my mind, is we screwed just about everything up and still almost beat a 6-2 team on the road in an open stadium on a windy day.

4-4 with this wildcard race, Cardinals 2 games out, and Seattle all but tied with the Rams is not a good spot.

Still, there is hope. Rams are not out of it, they are in the thick of it. Making the playoffs will be just that much sweeter if we can pull it off.

The upside is we will get Quinn, McDonald, Havenstein, and Long back and we have another chance to stay healthy for the second half. The line still has the potential to settle in and produce. I have heard it said many times that new o-lines take half a season to gel. The drops could be corrected and Cook could be benched. They are using TA more and it works. Gurley is human, but they were also lucky, and he will have many more big games. Quick is more active every game and could still emerge. Foles could get better. OK, maybe that's a stretch, but he could produce more if the line settles in and the drops are reduced.

This loss hurts like the Steelers loss. You have to win these close ones where we clearly have the advantage. I still have hope we can.
Ditto's!! You and me both Brother!!

I think if you look around the league fans of every team that loses on any given Sunday has the same approach where they blame the players on their team for their shortcomings. We all do it, but sometimes the other team or the other player wins too.

I knew it would be ugly on the interior with Donnal at OG, as I was sweating the matchup before I realized HStein was gonna miss the game. The Vikes are not some crap defense that stood up and played well just against us, they are a legitimately good defense. So of course our own offense--the unit that has struggled against lesser defenses--is not going to have a good day in an away environment, hostile crowd, etc and a legit defense. To expect otherwise is just not realistic.

The good thing here is as Ramz pointed out though is the Rams were in it in spite of everything. That game had the look of a tough road playoff matchup and while the Rams came up short it still went to OT and was in doubt up to the end. So there is definitely room to hope that this team can do something special this season (and by special I mean playoffs, just playoffs). They simply gotta get this offense going.
