How good is it to see TWO free agent additions voted captain? Hitting on FAs is something I had forgotten teams could do with the track record this team had over the past, well, seemingly forever.

Anyone surprised to not see Goff on the list ?

No Gurley is the one who needs to step up & take ownership.

Jared Goff has enough on his plate. He will take command of the huddle.

What you will see from Jared Goff ,is him coming over on the sideline & talking to Whitworth & the offensive lineman .

If you saw Ogletree on All or nothing ? He was the biggest leader to get player & the defense fired up.

He has the same agent as Donald, but he isn't holding out. The question becomes at what point do The Rams want Donald? At the expense of Ogletree ?? If he has the year I think he could, then your losing one of the best MLB in the NFL , plus your defensive play caller .

I was thinking along the same lines with Gurley being captain he can't mail it in. He showed an attitude on the field his rookie year. Like to see that again which will get everyone going.

Gurley was also a captain last year.

Thanks I forgot that. That makes my comment a bit off lol. Last year there wasn't much leadership anywhere on the team. Goff has mentioned a number of times that Gurley worked out hard in the off season. I think he is ready to explode again on the field and be a team leader that he didn't appear to be last year.

Goff has mentioned a number of times that Gurley worked out hard in the off season. I think he is ready to explode again on the field and be a team leader that he didn't appear to be last year.

I really think Gurley was disgusted with Fisher and Bou and their lack of preparation on the offensive line. Once Todd saw the lack of push and the way he was set up for failure, I believe he mailed it in, and throttled back his effort a bit.

Maybe our old LA Ram star running back was more the voice for our current star running back.

Agreed- I think you will see that from him this season though.

He stays after practice with jug machines & catching passes from coaches.

He should fit well in McVays offense with car he nf the ball out of the backyon play action fakes.

Gurley showed power in his lower half of his body on that 9 yard run against Oakland.

Great post. I sure as hell hope not. Ogletree is the best linebacker we've had since Fletcher, hands down.
