Well, to be fair, there were even members of this board who thought the Stafford trade was terrible and that it could potentially ruin our team. So.....
Still, I get that media is all about always being right, even when you're wrong but IMO it would go a long way had Tannenbaum said, "I was dead set against the Rams trading for Stafford, but was quickly reminded on how important the QB is"
It's funny too, Tannenbaum was "the hot GM" back in the Rex Ryan era. Signed some FA's, traded up for Sanchez, hired Ryan to replace Mangini, and boom! They were in the AFC Championship game back to back years. All the media was on his junk about how he was a step ahead of the league. At the time the biggest FA to hit the market was Nnamdi Asomugha, and everyone ear marked him to the Jets because it was "The Place to Be". Of course he went with the most money, and was a total bust in Philly, the Jets returned to their losing ways. Tannenbaum became an idiot overnight and got fired, then proved he still was an idiot in Miami and now just keeps the narrative going....
