Well, to be fair, there were even members of this board who thought the Stafford trade was terrible and that it could potentially ruin our team. So.....
Still, I get that media is all about always being right, even when you're wrong but IMO it would go a long way had Tannenbaum said, "I was dead set against the Rams trading for Stafford, but was quickly reminded on how important the QB is"
It's funny too, Tannenbaum was "the hot GM" back in the Rex Ryan era. Signed some FA's, traded up for Sanchez, hired Ryan to replace Mangini, and boom! They were in the AFC Championship game back to back years. All the media was on his junk about how he was a step ahead of the league. At the time the biggest FA to hit the market was Nnamdi Asomugha, and everyone ear marked him to the Jets because it was "The Place to Be". Of course he went with the most money, and was a total bust in Philly, the Jets returned to their losing ways. Tannenbaum became an idiot overnight and got fired, then proved he still was an idiot in Miami and now just keeps the narrative going....

Just watched a clip on Get Up where they are discussing where Wussel Wilson will end up. Mike Tannenbaum says you don't go cheap when trying to get a QB that will help you contend immediately. Says Pittsburgh should throw in that extra 1 and even another 2 to get him because it makes them contenders in Minka and Watts prime. Sound familiar?

That's that east coast bias, Pittsburgh love there. The Rams were all but eviscerated for doing this same thing last year. BS media be like "Oh shit it worked??? Well, of course it did!!! We knew it the whole time!“

Copy cat league gonna copy cat.... At least that is my guess.... And the talking heads will heap praise on all who do for being" aggressive" instead of "all in". Why do I even watch this shit?
You've just described the media. All media. In all segments. They sway with the current to appear correct.....that is when they just aren't lying and making stuff up.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Acho and Wiley are ALWAYS on opposites sides of an argument not because they may necessarily believe in their position, but because that's the format that the show demands.
Yep.
Like most media, a scripted clown show.

I do believe there are some legitimate, quality Pro Football analysts and commentators, with credibility.

Because they exist, it makes me even more angry when the majority fail to even try to live-up to a higher standard.

Kind of a Road Less Traveled thing.

I also think many in the media rely upon the viewers and listeners Not paying attention, and/or rembering.

Agree completely.

Those two frequently argue against what they said in a prior show. They just switch sides. It’s another example of counting on the viewer Not paying attention and/or remembering.

To be fair, if they were to stop doing that, I would not know. Whenever I see either one, reach for the remote, and either mute or change the channel.

We talked about this six days ago; and good old Mike Tannenbaum ... a commentator with zero credibility in my opinion ... just DID IT AGAIN! This time it was regarding the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tannenbaum just said on Get Up, if the Eagles are not certain about Jalen Hurts, they should trade all three of their first round draft choices to Seattle for Russell Wilson.

Thirteen months ago, Tannenbaum called the Rams 'Reckless and Irresponsible' for doing the exact same thing (Even Less!) that he recommends the Eagles (Pittsburgh last week) should do right now.

If he wants credibility, Tannenbaum has to explain the difference between: The Rams (a playoff team that may be limited at QB) were 'reckless and irresponsible' for trading two (projected-late) #1s, a #3 and a young but very expensive QB for a talented 33-year-old-QB; but then he strongly recommends the Eagles (a playoff team that may be limited at QB) trade three (mid-round) #1s for a talented 33-year-old-QB.

If the truth is simply that he has changed his mind, that's OK ... Say it!
Not that I agree with this, but the difference is that Wittle Wussel Wilson had won a super bowl already and at the time Stafford hadn't. In the extremely limited framing and narrow minded context of "should I trade for a super bowl winning QB or a QB with a losing record and no post season wins" the answer is clear. One of those things looks brilliant and the other looks reckless and irresponsible.

That's a legit point. Good for you!

However, if that was Tannenbaum's thinking last year, THAT means Mike Tannebnaum did not consider Stafford to be a top-QB last year. That just makes Tannenbaum a fucking-idiot, who can not evaluate QB-play.

Now that's a perspective I can agree with!

Very true.
They act now like it was an obvious thing that Russel Wilson (just an example) would be a great QB.
But, he was a third round pick. Every single team, loaded with expert and staffs with dozens of members and big budgets passed on him twice.
They were wrong....they are always wrong.
The media even more so.
