Just watched a clip on Get Up where they are discussing where Wussel Wilson will end up. Mike Tannenbaum says you don't go cheap when trying to get a QB that will help you contend immediately. Says Pittsburgh should throw in that extra 1 and even another 2 to get him because it makes them contenders in Minka and Watts prime. Sound familiar?

That's that east coast bias, Pittsburgh love there. The Rams were all but eviscerated for doing this same thing last year. BS media be like "Oh shit it worked??? Well, of course it did!!! We knew it the whole time!“

Copy cat league gonna copy cat.... At least that is my guess.... And the talking heads will heap praise on all who do for being" aggressive" instead of "all in". Why do I even watch this shit?

"Why do I even watch this shit?"

Exactly man. It's amazes me that most of those clowns receive an actual paycheck of some kind for the diarrhea that flows outta their mouths.

There is no such thing as sports journalism anymore.

You're a glutton for punishment?

Learned behavior from '06-'16?

Playoffs and Superbowl survivors guilt?

You have no arms or legs and are unable to either reach the TV remote or end your own suffering?

I'm just spitballing...

I love you man!

I was just about to submit a post about what Mike "Fucking-Fraud" Tannenbaum just said on Get Up.

Tannenbaum was one of the commentators most critical and negative of the Stafford-trade. Used the words 'reckless and irresponsible' to describe the Rams' organizational-strategy to trade two first round picks.
Today, 13 months later, the fat-fuck not only suggests the Steelers should trade multiple #1s and a #2 ('whatever it takes') for Russell Wilson ... an expensive, 33-year-old-QB ... he aggressively recommends it.
Exactly what the Rams did one year ago, and were 'reckless and irresponsible' per Tannenbaum.

These "experts" rely upon the viewer and listener NOT paying-attention and NOT remembering what they say.

I was listening to an interview with an ex-player who was on those shows. He mentioned that they would do preproduction meetings and ask him his opinion on a player, game, or transaction. Then, when he was done, they'd ask him to argue the other side and he'd find out on the day of the show which opinion he'd have!

I think the biggest thing with Stafford was at the time, he wasn't a winning QB. Obviously he proved everyone wrong.

It would be nice if there was a little accountability and honesty. Would also be entertaining.

Mike Tannenbaum said the exact-opposite this morning to what he said thirteen months ago.

I like Mike Greenberg. I would like (and respect) him much more if he turned to Tannenbaum after his comments that Pittsburgh should trade two #1s and a #2 for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender; and said to Mike Tannenbaum something like:

'Last year you were strongly against the Rams trading two #1s and a #3 for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender. Have you changed your mind, or do you see a distinction between the two cases?'

That question would have been fair, objective, honest, accurate and interesting.

NFL talk, both by media and fans, are full of double standards.

Nothing new.
Absolutely true but this is more than just a double-standard.

A expert gives his opinion on Monday, and says: 'This guy/team sucks. I'm an expert'

On Tuesday, the player is great and the team wins big.

On Wednesday, the same guy says: 'Just like I told you. This guy/team is great. I'm an expert'

Instead of Monday-to-Wednesday, it's months (thirteen in this case).

It's entertainment. Every show has someone that's for or against something. We received a lot of praise after the trade was made as well. It's more likely that a team will not make or win the Super Bowl, so a lot of them chose that narrative to say they were right.

It's fun proving them all wrong and watching them admit it or make excuses.

That's the best part lol. They are so adamant and smug before and afterwards if the prediction goes another way, they are dejected. Who's that Nick guy on First Things First? Always kisses the Chiefs' ass? He was adamant all year and when they lost...oh boy. hahaha.

Having said that...its a sweet gig if you can get it.

My issue is that these experts are also 'smug' afterwards if their 'prediction goes another way'.

Agree about it being a sweet gig. Imagine being well-paid but not having to be right or good at what you do.

Spouse #1: How did work go today dear?

Spouse #2 (a surgeon): ' Great day. Three surgeries. Two didn't make it. What's for dinner?'

Mostly agree but many national media experts do not admit when they were wrong.

Mike Tannebaum's comments today are a perfect example.

How entertaining would it have been if Dan Orlovsky was on Get-Up this morning and responded to Tannenbaum's Steelers' comments with something like:
'Mike have you changed your mind?
Last year, on this show, you and I argued about the Stafford trade.
You were strongly against the Rams trading two #1s and a #3 for a talented but expensive 33-year-old-QB to up-grade from a playoff-caliber-team to a Super Bowl contender. Today you are in favor of the Steelers doing the exact same thing. Do you see any distinction'

I wouldn't consider that Orlovsky calling Tannenbaum out.
That would be a former-NFL-QB engaging a former-NFL-GM in a serious, honest and meaningful discussion about how to build or improve an NFL team. Something those two people are well paid to do as national media NFL experts.

As a life-long NFL fan, THAT would entertain me.

Yep, they are paid for blowing verbal diarrhea at their viewers/listeners on a daily basis. Amazing

The only "job" that is more ridiculous than today's sports media blow hards is today's weather forecasters.

Here in Florida anyway. They have learned how they can do absolutely nothing in the way of research... give their forecasts live on the air... and never be wrong 100% of the time.

This is almost the only forecast you will ever hear "reported" here in The Sunshine State... "Today there is a 50% chance of rain".

At least these lazy bastards care enough to make sure their forecasts/guesses can't really be held against them after the fact. They want to at least give a semblance of credibility.

Today's sports media blabbering idiots don't give one fuck about having ANY credibility. Their whole expert opinion that they'll bet their house on today will be the exact opposite "expert" opinion just a week later. That's why I say anything coming outta their mouths is diarrhea.

What this really shows us is exactly what almost all of today's sports media companies think of their customers. They believe 100% that their customers... listeners/readers/subscribers/watchers... are just a bunch of mindless morons that will happily consume all of their diarrhea blindly till the end of time.

They put in zero research or time into their product and couldn't care less about the credibility or truthfulness of what it promotes. Why put in real effort when their customers are all blithering idiots that will swallow their diarrhea without complaining and come running back for more? That's their business plan... and it's unbelievably insulting when you look at it. That's why I've basically tuned completely out of today's sports media asshats. They can go fuck themselves.

I think it would be more like

Great day. 3 surgeries today. One guy lived.

I was originally going to go with:
Spouse #2 (a surgeon): ' Great day. Three surgeries. Two didn't make it. One is in a coma. What's for dinner?'

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Acho and Wiley are ALWAYS on opposites sides of an argument not because they may necessarily believe in their position, but because that's the format that the show demands.

We talked about this six days ago; and good old Mike Tannenbaum ... a commentator with zero credibility in my opinion ... just DID IT AGAIN! This time it was regarding the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tannenbaum just said on Get Up, if the Eagles are not certain about Jalen Hurts, they should trade all three of their first round draft choices to Seattle for Russell Wilson.

Thirteen months ago, Tannenbaum called the Rams 'Reckless and Irresponsible' for doing the exact same thing (Even Less!) that he recommends the Eagles (Pittsburgh last week) should do right now.

If he wants credibility, Tannenbaum has to explain the difference between: The Rams (a playoff team that may be limited at QB) were 'reckless and irresponsible' for trading two (projected-late) #1s, a #3 and a young but very expensive QB for a talented 33-year-old-QB; but then he strongly recommends the Eagles (a playoff team that may be limited at QB) trade three (mid-round) #1s for a talented 33-year-old-QB.

If the truth is simply that he has changed his mind, that's OK ... Say it!
