It has begun. Shouldn't take long now.

Ferguson probably isnt involved. This is the agent doing, likely with guidance from the players association.Too much bullshit with rookies these days. You are in the first year of a new job, haven't done a thing in the league yet and don't know squat. Get your college ass out there and take some lumps, do something, then say pay me!
Earlier in the thread, somebody mentioned collusion on the owner's part. Agents working in concert with the NFLPA is basically the same thing!Ferguson probably isnt involved. This is the agent doing, likely with guidance from the players association.
Splitting hairs over money being guaranteed in 4 years is preventing him from getting his 2-3 mill signing bonus, Im sure Ferguson wants that sooner than later
The contract is already decided, it really does seem like a union.Earlier in the thread, somebody mentioned collusion on the owner's part. Agents working in concert with the NFLPA is basically the same thing!
I never got the structure, belong to a union, yet have an individual contract. CEO's/Execs don't have that. Neither does the working class.
I can see fully guaranteeing first round draft picks. The player obviously did enough to earn that. The team obviously thought enough of the guy to take him in the first round. But 2nd round picks? You weren't good enough to make the first round so why should you get the contract guaranteed? Many guys fall because of past injuries. The contract is already decided, it really does seem like a union.
Its a dangerous trend though. Fully Guaranteed contracts would kill the NFL
It's all about precedents, next guy up wants a little bit more
I just find the whole thing bizarre splitting hairs over whether an additional 50k-100k is guaranteed in 4 years
Contract being unsigned doesn't necessarily prevent him from being a part of camp.Rams reporting to Loyola Marymount on July 22nd
5 days. Do you want to be a part of this or not Mr. Ferguson?
True. But in today's climate of big business sports, what kid in his right mind is going to risk injury before he's signed a contract?Contract being unsigned doesn't necessarily prevent him from being a part of camp.
