You ever see a movie where you figured, "Welp, there goes my man card...." It's February and definitely Rom-Com month.
Pretty Woman
When Harry Met Sally
Casablanca
Same Time Next Year

I loved all of these movies, which one was your favorite and whether your cried....(lol).

1. When Harry Met Sally (cried)
2. Same Time Next Year (cried)
3. Pretty Woman (hell nah!)
4. Casablanca (cried when La Marsellaise was played vs Die Wacht am Rein as an expression of pride while being crushed daily in Vichy held Morocco)

Viva La France!

Good lord this post has been a curse.

Name one...........

I have decided I can not. Not in order of preference because I do not have a "one".

Grease
Legally Blonde
Breakfast Club
13 going on 30
Ferris Bueller's Day off
Back to the Future
Clueless
Forrest Gump
Brides Maids
Groundhog Day
50 First Dates..........(considered this a number one)
It's a Wonderful Life
Big
School of Rock
Guardians of the Galaxy (the M-wife insisted and can't disagree)

I am sure there are more but I need to sleep and get this curse somewhat off my back.

GREAT topic. And a refreshing "happy" one!

You forgot Sixteen Candles...

Ha! Not that one.

Are you saying I am into chick flicks?

Cause I am thinking I may be. Hence the curse.

I am comfortable with that.

Happy?

The Princess Bride
Victor/Victoria
Most Muppet Movies

Cry?

Coco. For real... whoever wasn't ugly crying at the end isn't human. Listen... I don't mean "teared up". I mean SOBBING!!! 100%, it brought up some stuff for sure...
Up. I still maintain that the 8 minute montage in that film was the best montage ever captured on film and I always cry... that pair of 4 notes... softly played on the piano... oof.
The Pursuit of Happyness. Still haven't made it all the way through.
Saving Private Ryan. Not the young Ryan. When he goes back to Normandy and he looks at his wife after kneeling at Capt Miller's grave and says, "tell me I've led a good life... tell me I'm a good man" I teared up just watching the clip to get the dialogue right. That whole scene wrecks me.
Mr Holland's Opus. The end... if you know, you know.

When my kids were young, we used to watch Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey repeatedly. That ending...excuse me...got something in my eye.

Anything serious or semi-serious involving dogs gives me anxiety or heartbreak.

Am I the only one who took this seriously??? LOL

I did when I watched it the first time. But now it's basically a punchline that I yell at least half a dozen times around Christmas or birthdays to my wife or family. We're getting ready to look for a new house and when we actually buy one the week of unpacking my wife will probably be so sick of that phrase.

It's a really happy movie if you watch it backwards. A shark keeps throwing people up until a city opens a beach.

I like watching movies backwards.

When I watch Poseidon Adventure backwards it's about an overturned ship that rights itself just in time for a new years eve party!

Memento must have been a really boring movie for you, then?

Bawled my eyes out at the end of Up's first eight minutes. And I am damn sure that others here did, regardless of what they say. Same with Coco. No character deserved his happy ending more than Hector.

Yep.

That said, the end of Coco is a different kind of crying... like "I'm gonna cry so hard that I'll be dehydrated once I finally stop" kind of crying.
