I think Tre Tomlinson also will start. I just have a feeling that he's gonna ball out so hard in pre-season that he's either the starter or a solid platoon player at that slot.

At least it’s more fun to fly under the radar than to be overrated.
And I have this weird feeling that we're going to surprise the hell out of some people.

Plan B for McVay is to bring in a lot of underrated talent and get them going as a unit and I think it has a good chance of working.

This is a much more exciting season with potential than last year.

People keep missing the main point that caused our offense to collapse last year. The O line.
Stafford's injuries, "poor play" and most of our offensive problems were due to the poor O line depth.
They gambled on the players they had and it didn't work out.

I was looking today at Rams roster and depth chart, only two rooks expected to start, Avila on offense and Young on defense, other players all on roster last season
train
The offense doesn't have very many "if's." I like the roster on that side of the ball across the board except for backup to Akers and a little unsure of LT.

But the defense does have quite a few "if's." Both edge positions, one safety spot, and two corner roles. I think the defense could be better than last season but it was bottom third last season. So they may have a ways to go. Gonna depend on a few of those coming in big for us.

So who are our projected front 6 (with a nickelback)?
I’m seeing Donald, BB3, and Hoecht along the front with Young and EJones at MLB. Who am I missing?
Copeland. I think Turner could end up starting by end of season.

When you start the season in 1999 as 200-1 to win the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl.........

That forever will give one hope.

I have no idea what we are getting into this year and no one else really does either.

But after last year? I am liking our odds.

GO RAMS!!!

Sports writers have entered the room....

Pretty fair video.

You have to ask “is a fan(atic) or a sports writer more biased?

I’m all for the optimism but I feel like some are having a hard time seeing reality through their optimistic fan lens.
I’d say most fan(antics) are far more informed than the “sports writers” responsible for this particular analysis.

Not uncommon. I have often seen and heard people who cover the whole league make comments about the team that are inaccurate, outdated, and just plain wrong.

I'm thinking if the offensive line can play at a serviceable level the Rams will be better than people think. We have a good quarterback. It all starts right there. We have an all pro receiver. It all comes down to the offensive line. Can they protect Stafford enough? Can they open enough holes for the running backs?

I think we know the defense will struggle. But as long as its not a 30 ppg defense they can win enough games to keep them competitive.

At least the fanatics have their information correct. This wannabe Sports Writer not so much.

I agree. A tough OLine will turn things around and have a domino effect, even helping the D.

It's going to be a tough schedule.

The offense should be good. Could even be very good. The defense will come around by the second half of the year.

The 2023 Rams will set the stage for the 2024 Rams.

Problem with the defense is injury will do them in. And on top of needing health we need young players to step up across the board. That's a tough combo to depend on. Could happen sure. But chances are it's a missed bag and we have a porous defense.

But we can still win a lot of games with that if the offense is good enough. Really need health this year for sure if anything good is gonna come of it. Just no real room for error.

I think it's also exciting because we're really going to find out how impactful McVay and the culture he's developed really are--like how much of it is really due to this generational coach and what he and Snead are all about.

"Missed bag." I really need to quit posting on my phone. Can't see and my phone changes shit, that's a bad mix.

I honestly think as long as Stafford stays Healthy (The OL needs to step up and I think they will!) I think the Rams Offense will be good to very good and the Rams will have a good season and surprise a lot of people (Other than us Rams Fans!)!!

I wonder if this will be a make or break season for Raheem Morris? If he makes an inexperienced defense serviceable that would be impressive. If they struggle all year he can forget a head coaching gig. A lot of coordinators got head coaching gigs because they had talented players to work with making them look better. He's got a bunch of first and second year players. His work will be cut out for him.
