the problem is it becomes relative to one or two stupid deals made by other desperate teams. I hate brady with a white hot passion but no way in hell stafford or donald should make this kind of money. Brees and rodgers are also worth more than both these guys.

Mid tier 2? Name me 5 Quarterbacks that are in the game right now that are better than him. Because all I'm coming up with are Rodgers, Brady, Brees, and Matt Ryan (and one could argue if Stafford had that Falcons offense he'd be better).

You betcha. What the phins paid suh was outlandish at the time but will now be the norm. If the cap ever stops increasing teams will be forced to reassess but since it has been increasing by about 10% every year now for the last 5 years teams will keep paying more to the lucky players that become FAs and have more demand than supply.
