The 1974 Divisional Round win over the Redskins was the Rams' first playoff victory in two decades, with a late Isaiah Robertson interception return for a touchdown to clinch the victory.
In the 1975 Divisional Round victory over the Cardinals, Lawrence McCutcheon rushed for a record 203 yards; and there were a bunch of highlight plays, including a Jack Youngblood interception return for a touchdown.
The Rams upset the Cowboys in Dallas in 1976, with a great late fourth quarter defensive stand. A 4th down Dallas completion was inches short at the Rams' ten.
The above 1979 win in Dallas was another upset victory that was the final game of Roger Staubach's career. The Rams and Cowboys played each other in the playoffs in 1973, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1983 and 1985. Eight times in thirteen seasons. Dallas won 3 of the first 4 but the Rams then won 3 of the next 4.
The Rams wins in 1983 and 1985 were a ton of fun. The 1983 win in Dallas was a big upset. That one featured three Vince Ferragamo TDs and a long Leroy Irvin interception return. In 1985, the Rams shut-out the dopey Cowboys, and Dickerson broke McCutcheon's record with 248 rushing yards.
