Didn’t think I’d like the Rams color rush unis. But I do. Still remember back in 1994 when the LA Rams broke out their “color rush” yellow jerseys for a game against the Chiefs. We beat ‘em 16-0 and Chris Chandler played great. Below, a pic of Jerome Bettis from that game.

Just keep the horns and I’m good.

For me, it’s gotta be horns AND blue/yellow or blue/white.

Rams have almost always been either blue/yellow or blue/white, but there have been a few exceptions. In 1937 the Cleveland Rams were black and red, and their uniforms looked like this:

Then, in 1949 the Rams tried out a red/yellow combo, and their helmet looked like this:

So... as long as there are horns, I’m a fan.

But black and red? Or red and yellow? Puke. I’d still be a Rams fan, but it sure wouldn’t feel the same...!

Did you know the Rams where the first team to put a logo on a helmet. Here's an excerpt about it from wikipedia:

"First helmet logo. In the mid 1940s Gehrke toyed with notion of painting a football helmet. Rams coach, Bob Snyder suggested that Fred paint a helmet with the ram horns on it that he could present to the team's owner Dan Reeves."

I didn't totally dislike them and they were much better than others, however, I concur that you should not need gimmicks to sell the product and competitive games will do the rest...BTW it was Colonel Mustard in the Conservatory with a Dagger.

Liked them a lot. Didn't think I would. The did look fast in them.

IICR correctly the Chiefs had a team wide flu or other illness. That Rams team was not good.

Well, since they're no longer confined to being worn exclusively for Thursday Night games, I'd rather see the Rams in THOSE uniforms when they travel and the home team is wearing white jerseys.

It's better than what they wore in Dallas & Jacksonville last year.

This is exactly what I was about to post. The NFL isn't doing away with them... they are just not going to confine them to Thursday night games anymore.

So absolutely... when we are forced to wear home colors when on the road... AND OUR "HOME" (DARK BLUE JERSEY) IS A DISASTER... we can just wear the Color Rush instead.

Temporary bandaid fix to that dark blue jersey problem.

I suggested The Yellow Jersey w/ White pants. This^^ Photo proves how good it looks!!(y)(y):D

The NBA did something very cool and themed a special uni around each teams city. It was a great idea and I'd like to see the NFL follow suit.

@Selassie I yeah the blueberry has GOT to go.

Really hope the new helmets aren't matte. That's a bad trend to my eye at least, something that looks good in an office when the GM's checkin it out but not so much on the field.
