Funny how none of the "NFL insiders" like Schefter, Rappaport, etc. had ANYTHING on this. ESPN's crawl was talking about Carr to the Jets as late as this morning. Clearly, Carr's negotiations with NO had been going on for some time.

Teams are playing things much closer to the vest these days. Hell, even Jourdan Rodrigue has to cite "league sources" regarding the potential trade/cut of Floyd. Not "Rams sources"..."league sources" . And she's the beat writer.

Just don't see New Orleans as a viable situation right now. Carr is going to a team that is run by a defensive HC who has never won and is cap-strapped to the max.
Well at least he'll be in the NFC South so there's that I suppose...

That last bit IMO is the key. They have a good D and a pretty good OL. He can likely carry you to a division title if they add a few tools for him to use. I think Thomas is coming back not sure he's the same but Kamara is likely headed behind bars so we'll see what they do.

Carr takes 35 mill aav, and Daniel Jones thinks he's worth 45?
So basically, Carr works out a deal with New Orleans and then right before they make a trade with the Raiders he says, "Shit guys, dont waste the draft picks, let them cut me and I'll sign with ya as a free agent in a couple weeks"
