I would imagine a lot of conversation this week concerning the Raheem Morris D

Discuss.

Give them a few weeks to find their legs. But getting an idea of how teams might come after them this year.

Still think they'll be a top 10 unit.

Before the game even began I was upset that Bobby Brown wouldn't be with the 48 man eligibles. This guy occupies a lot of space.

Nah. Ain't worried. Teams are gonna get their yards and points. But theyll adjust as the season goes along.

Underwhelming performance. Need to tackle better. The interior needs to hold their ground better. And I hated how often we dropped Floyd into coverage. I also need to see some more aggressiveness in terms of coverages and blitzes. It looked very bland.

Well, Chris Collinsworth said incessantly that the Rams D was giving ip the short pass and the run. There is rust I believe and they only allowed 14 points. I think AD played pretty good, but I am blown away that a couple of times he didn't rag doll that Bears RB, especially the one that he almost wrapped up. Last year, he would have grabbed that guy, no matter his forward motion, and then slam him to the earth.

But still, R-E-L-A-X.

Reminds me alot of Phillip's D, bend dont break. We should have seen this coming without a real LB to protect the run. Secondary started out strong, but then wore thin. My guess is offense kept getting off the field too fast. I'm not worried yet, but we do need to address stopping the run.

They gave up 14 points.

Last years unit gave up (on average) 18 points per game.

Still, I fear a powerhouse running team is going to be real big trouble.

The Bears had a plan to dink and dunk as much as possible. We (as a defense...) want to get the offense behind the chains and then attack with pass rush and superior deep coverage. It wasn't the desired result, but we got a 3 score win. There will be other teams that want to push the ball down the field that we will have better effects on.

This thread come on enjoy the win. We gave up 14 points had a tipped interception made several 4down stops and the starters basically didn’t play a total of one preseason game.
This defense will be just fine

See you in Indy ✌

I think they looked a lot worse than it was. A lot of it I think is from the way they handle preseason. Literally no reps for starters, it’s going to take some time to gel.

Jalen was showing up big at the beginning but there was t a lot of pressure. Of course the ball was coming out in barely over 2 secs, have to give the Bears credit for that execution.

Disappointed with the run D but again rusty and they didn’t seem to be too interested in stopping the run.

14 points isn’t going to beat this offense. It’s all good and will be something to build on.

I agree.

The Rams opened 2020 with a 3 point win over a 6 - 10 team. (17 - 14 against Dallas) This year we opened up with a 20 point win against a team that went 8 - 8 the prior season.
Sure, it's early and there are some kinks to work out, and now we have generated some quality film to work from, but I don't see any cause to worry over.
Let's put this game behind us and get after kicking Indy's ass next week.
