To be honest most of the players the Rams are using at OLB are 4-3 DEs.

Maybe someone can comment on what the safeties are doing? With Peters less than 100%, why isn't he getting more deep help especially against a speed guy like Lockett?
I don't know if Peters is 100% or not but players need to stop gambling so much. The Dline is in attack mode and rushing up the field like crazy if the rb gets through it will be a big play. Maybe we should be more conservative on defense? either way I've got 100% confidence in Wade. They definitely need to try something different

thanks guys for the posts, that remind me that Peters is playing injured and may be over compensating.
It still looks like he was gambling too much.

yeah phillips needs to give him safety help until he is 100%. and he has to quit gambling.

Honestly, Pete saw what happened last week, saw that we are focusing too much on collapsing the pocket and getting upfield pressure and used his two big backs to just smash mouth us.

I really don't think this D is taking too kindly to being embarrassed and you can bet that they're gonna be rectifying things.

Its two weeks in a row.

When will they stop taking it kindly LOL.

Troy Hill is not a problem. We can't have All-Pro players at every position on the field.

Stars need to make plays. That d-Line needs to carry this defense. Peters and Joyner need to play better as well.

At least yall are consistent.

We are the best team in the league, 5-0, beat our toughest div rival at their house and the comments are full of worry and complaints.

If you are super worried that we will not go undefeated, you are probably right... and probably miserable.

If you are worrying about whether or not we are a great team, you should start watching other teams.
Any of them.

seems as though opposing OC's have figured out the Rams' weakness(es) on defense and can expose them in a fairly simple matter.

Other than that early dumb penalty by Troy I think he did well the rest of the game.

Suh has been solid.

the Seahawks had success running the ball at Barron when they got a lineman blocking Barron at that 2nd level..... But it's been like that for a couple of years now.... Barron makes plays as long as he's not blocked...when he's blocked he's not big enough to impact on the run... We seemed to make an adjustment in the 4th quarter and we stopped the run much better.....

I don't know if it's as much the 3-4 as it is our lack of a stout run stopper playing alongside Littleton....

as the poster mentioned above.... Kiser would help us with the run on the inside...

I have to wonder if 4 downlineman would be better. Seemed like the RPO Wilson was handing off the ball and the right side was wide open for the running back. They were pushing Brockers around who is down to 305 Lbs. I tend to think that the poor run defense is more on the defensive line.

Littleton and Barron are playmakers.

I would love to see Kiser get some play time.

I know Littleton is well liked by most but I agree. Kiser would especially be nice on early downs. Maybe even Hager too. Still misssing that physical presence from the LBs.

Agree , even though I'm still not convinced that our defense is this bad .

So CB Troy Hill got the start over veteran corner Sam Shields?? what did I miss on that?

Aside from that stupid penalty on him I don't remember him having a bad play. I do remember a pass breakup or two. Granted that penalty really hurt but think he ended up with an ok game.

I agree about the poor D in 2018 in gereral.

I think the reason for some of the complaints might be because of the disappointment of Seattle having their way. We've always owned them on D. Today shocked me some in that regard.

I was never on the 3-4 bandwagon. We have 3 great DTs, we should almost be using a 5-2 defense instead.

LBs did a poor job against the run and DBs did poor staying in coverage today. So...1) Who watched closely enough to evaluate where we broke down? 2) What can we or should we do to tighten up the D this year?
