Goff had one like that. I instantly thought it should be incomplete but was ruled a fumble. I remember the commentating ref saying it didn't matter if it ball/arm went forward but the process was affected by the defender so therefore a fumble.

And it was ruled a fumble but Brady. The call didn't surprise me though considering the poor job that was done on other calls.

Probably thinking of the Steelers game last year. And that may have cost us a playoff spot after all was said and done. It's absolutely ridiculous the way that rule is called and how some refs let it play out and others stop play. Obviously since it was Brady as soon as his geriatric ass was touched the play was whistled dead. Pisses me off so much how Goff gets pummeled with no penalties or no benefit of the doubt from refs on plays like that almost every game.

Play from Steelers.

This one was so obviously a forward pass unlike that Brady fumble Monday night.

As I have said, on this board, multiple times all NFL officials suck. There needs to be stricter requirements in place to become an NFL official. It should also be paid and treated as a full time job and not a part time position. They should be evaluated after each week and if they are not meeting the standards after four games be given their walking papers. Some of these guys are so incompetent that the NFL should be embarrassed. Apparently these guys don't have any self pride, just collecting a check each week.

I get pissed off every time I see that Pittsburgh tragedy, especially knowing what it cost us....

Especially since Minkah Fitzpatrick returned it for a TD with nobody chasing him since it was so obviously a forward pass. The guy hits Goff from the front and the ball heads 8 yards downfield. Physics dictates Goff threw the ball.

So an obvious incomplete pass on a ball 8 yards downfield ruled a fumble that results in a TD and costs the Rams a playoff birth.

Now we have an obvious fumble at Brady's feet ruled a forward pass reversing a TD.

Sure glad we won that game, if we lost again because of incompetent referees, I may have tapped out for the season. I've had just about enough of AD being tackled every play and the refs just ignoring it. This would have been too much to handle.

That's all on Boger, he blew the whistle anyone else doesn't get the inadvertent whistle, I really hope Brady retires because this bull shit has to stop.

Yeah, that one was egregious! So much so that nearly every postgame show was saying it was a fumble. You know how I know that cheat is done? He has an all pro offense around him, a very good defense, and the refs in his pocket....yet he continues to look like crap. DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!

Had the Brady call been overturned to a fumble, would we have been awarded a safety? I thought about that Pittsburgh play last year also. To keep things in perspective, sometimes these calls go our way (cite: NO 2018 NRC PI). The officials really should learn to let iffy plays fully play out then let the booth decide.

The double standards are installed by the league. They see Brady as the face of the league and trumping him up as the GOAT works in their favor. Its just like the Cowboys of old, or the Patriots recently. He doesn't just draw fans, he draws the haters too. No way to lose, especially in playoff games because it draws millions of viewers even if their team is not in the game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the refs carry Brady's saggy balls in to the Superbowl this year with crap calls like that one and the ignoring of Evans' pass interferences. They seemed to clean up some of the obvious stuff but that Rams/Steelers game last year shows that they aren't completely finished with getting their teams into playoff games. Gotta keep the networks happy.

I know he is done because while he gets help from the refs, he doesn't have the benefit of knowing what the other teams D has called due to cheating and he has to think it thru himself. Hence the bad reads. More proof the Cheatriots were always cheating.

I think they would have awarded the ball to the Rams at the spot it was recovered and possessed. I dont think they could have given a TD because I do believe the whistle had been blown

I don't mind the double standard that goes with all the Goff-hate out there, because he's just going to keep carving defenses up and proving them wrong. BUT when the disrespect influences the refs' judgements and materializes as judicial double standards, it bothers me. And you still don't hear Goff complaining about it.

(Also I've counted 5 times he's been hit in the head this year uncalled.)

I thought of the same play. This is quite clearly more of a forward pass than Brady's:

That TD was the difference between us making and missing the playoffs last year. (There were some other atrocious calls in that Pittsburgh game that gave them points.) I'm glad we found a way to win. Would have been irate if they stole that TD from us and we lost. BTW, Brady would have lost to the Jaguars in 2017 in the AFCCG if not for the refs whistling a fumble dead just like they did in our game. It's ridiculous how much preferential treatment he receives.

That's actually would have been a correct call because of the whistle being blown. Although the Rams recovered because of the whistle, that stops the clear recovery aspect. Again, that's why the Officials are trained now, not to blow the whistle, but Jerome Boger couldn't help himself trying to save Brady.

Someone on the Rams need to take the fines for talking about officials.

We have Aaron Donald - how is he almost never held? How? We saw a blatant one on that play. Yet later in the game, they flag us for (an obvious) holding.

There were two penalties on the Bucs, and they were just offsides which were only called because our OL jumped, which forced the refs hand. No other penalties? Really??

Get the media talking about it, which will get casual fans talking about, which will put pressure on the NFL - how is Aaron Donald never held? Let's do it Sean.
