Finished a week of binge watching all 18 episodes of this show on Netflix yesterday. I did have to use subtitles because I couldn't understand the cockney accents(or whatever type they are). An excellent show with great music. The theme is by Nick Cave.
Yes the music is great.
Sadly, I use subtitles on most shows I watch anymore because I just don't hear that well anymore.... :(

Yeah, unfortunately that's another good reason for subtitles. All those years of playing guitar in front of amplifiers has taken its toll. There's a permanent sound in my head that sounds like hissing. Tinnitus. I'm in the same company as Pete Townshend, Sting, and Eric Clapton, minus the fame and fortune of course.

Almost forgot about this thread.

Anyone watch "Pitch" on Fox? Pretty awesome if you are a baseball fan. Season 1 is 10 episodes long and can be seen On Demmand.

Black Mirror - 9/10 - Almost like a digital age Twilight Zone. Will make you hate social media if you didn't already. Loved every episode from every season. Amazing writing.

The Crown - 8/10 - Documentary series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth (II). Very good if you enjoy history.

Red Oaks (Amazon Prime) 9/10 - Awesome show that is centered around a bunch of characters at a country club in the mid 80's. Think Caddyshack meets Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Amy Heckerling directs, so you can see why.

Sopranos - 10/10 - I just finished re-watching the entire series and it reaffirmed my opinion that this may be the best show of all time. Gandolfini was brilliant and it is a damn shame that he is no longer with us. What a great character.

Also, really looking forward to the return of Twin Peaks this year!!

Most recent Netflix binges:
Luke Cage- was ok, love the main character but was too drawn out
Bloodlines- great show, was like a page turner of a book that I could wait to flip the page but was afraid to do so at the same time
Spotless- Great show, kind of a combo between Dexter and Snatch-
Travellers- Time travel show, liked it a lot. At one point thought it was going to be a campy/good guy show but nope...

My DVR is a little over loaded so I need to catch up on some shows, but need a new Netflix show to binge

Yeah, it was kind of slow, eh. The misses and I will give it another shot tho. Marvel Agents of Shield was the same too. A bit heavy on the character development, but got really good after a few episodes.

Amazon shows:
Bosch-
Great show, cant wait for the new season next week
Tin Star- seriously dark stuff, Tim Roth is just, man, dark.....
Sneaky Pete- meh
Goliath- Awesome
Banshee- Awesome, terrible ending
Justified- Awesome, terrible ending

Netflix shows:
Travellers season 2-
Not as good as season 1, serious plot flaw IMO
Godless- Flat out loved this show
Black Mirror season 3- Watched a couple episodes, material not even close to as good as season 1 & 2
Santa Clarita Diet season 2- Loved season 1, just not in to season 2. Watched a couple episodes and not drawn back in
Longmire- Thought after watching Godless I would be all in on a Western theme, but to no avail
Altered Carbon- I like it, way too cerebral though. I like the basic gist of it, but too many layers IMO. I don't need to concentrate this much on my entertainment.....

I figured because we have no such thread here it was time we started one!
I didn't want to create threads for each individual show and season. Made more sense to start a big one to house them all!

The most recent TV series I've seen are Stranger Things and American Horror Story.

The wife, who can't sit through a horror movie, loved Stranger Things. It's an awesome series by Netflix with a great 70's feeling. The acting is great, the story is interesting and I absolutely love the soundtrack; it's one of the BEST I've ever heard. You can literally binge watch it in one day but I guarantee you'll be left wanting more. I can't wait for season 2. Not recommended to watch with kids due to the nature of the content and language. Here's a trailer:

As far as American Horror Story goes, I've seen every episode of every season up until the episode that aired yesterday (season 6, episode 1). I've loved every single season but I have to admit that the best were the first two. It's definitely worth a binge watch to catch up but will undoubtedly take you a while. The story goes that all 6 seasons are connected in some way, with season 6 tying a lot of them together (finally!). I don't want to give too much away but each season is something different: horror house, witchcraft, asylum, carnival, vampires...pretty diverse in terms of horror themes. Strong recommendation for you horror buffs. Definitely not recommended to watch with kids due to the nature of content, language, gore and strong sexual content.

What are you watching?
The wife and I are going to be starting Narcos sometime this weekend. I've heard great things about it.

I appreciate that they cast weird looking kids to play people from the 80s. As a child of the late 80s I can attest, everyone was weird looking.
Occult symbology all over that show too. Makes sense give the subject matter.
11 is a big occult number.
In Crowley's magick system it represents equality....two sides equal....it's why 11 is hard to determine sex....part male and female....light/dark etc.
Because of this balance 11 is a gateway between worlds. A bridge that being or take things between spiritual worlds. It's why that character is made to look neither overly male or female.
Sort of an interesting show.
