I wonder what happens if Tutu comes into camp hot. They will want his speed on the field and the top two are guys you want on the field as much as possible.

So Van may be see opportunities erode if he doesn't step it up. He certainly has the talent to be a good possession option, though how important is that with two elite possession guys in Kupp and Robinson.

Rams ideally will get explosive threat from the WR3 spot. So IMO there will be a lot of hope that Tutu can handle a workload.
You beat my blue font take as to Tutu’s secret greatness…..

Earnest Jones will come out of this season to become the next Fred Warner-level NFL ILB. I’ll humbly eat my words if I am wrong.

Ernest Jones made big plays in the SB. On the bengals first drive, he broke up that 4th and 1 pass.

The reason why the Rams can "F" them first round picks in because they have been outstanding at finding later round top notch talent.

Cooper Kupp in the 3rd round. Greg Gaines in the 4th round. Matt Gay was a practice squad player and the list goes on and on. There are too many contributors to list here.

I believe this is how you succeed in the NFL in this day and age. You pay the core superstars like Stafford, Donald and some others but the rest need to be on NFL minimum wage and you trade or let them walk if and when they get too expensive.

I suppose a bad draft could set us back but free agency is also where the Rams excel and with a winning culture, aging but solid free agents will want to come here for a chance to win a title.

I think my top choices are Atwell and Gaines.

Most non-Rams fans don’t know who these guys are.

Of the two, Gaines is proven… he simply plays a position without a lot of name recognition. Not many casual football fans know of him.

Atwell could be a “where did he come from?” contributor if he plays as explosive as the Rams hope.

To the non-Ram fan, I would suggest keeping an eye on:
1) Gaines. Everyone knows Donald, but we have another monster on the interior.
2) EJones. Really like what I saw in this guy. His injury kept him out and under the radar. Great instincts, and no matter what attributes a player might have, instinct is #1 for an ILB.
3) Blanton. More PT means more opportunities. He’s been excellent when given the chance.
4) Bruss. Wishful thinking.

The best kept secret is that the roster after the big name stars isn't as void of talent as all the so called experts say. They've criticized the Rams roster building style for years and said we were doomed. They said it wasn't sustainable and it wasn't the way to build a champion. The fact is that Snead and while he was here Brad Holmes led that department to amazing levels and have built a truly great team that they have augmented well with our free agent signing and trades. I think as many as a half dozen guys that people especially opposing fans know little about.

Gaines
Jefferson
Noteboom
BB3
Jones
Rochell

And that doesn't even count rookies both draft and udfa. Rams have a roster and the so called experts don't want to acknowledge it because of years of criticism.

I could not have said it any better.

Going a step further for a more well kept secret, I'll say the secondary. I've seen rankings that have ours in the bottom 10.

I expect the winners of the Hill, Long, Durant and Rochell competition, plus Fuller and Scott to make this a top 5 secondary this year. Pair that with the best front 7 in the league and that's going to be scary.

If we're talking "secret".. we're talking not well known to the rest of the league, or at least the fanbases of the rest of the league, right?

That's my thought, anyway, and Ernest Jones is the guy for that. Gaines got plenty of publicity last year. You could argue Noteboom because lineman are fairly anonymous anyway.. but I'm sticking with Jones.

He only played a few games, so not many people saw him in action. What we saw, Rams fans, was an incredibly instinctive young linebacker with a knack for making impact plays. His balance, agility and timing make him a real factor in blitzes.

The Rams D will have a different feel this year and those backers will be a huge reason.

Cam Aikers and the Rams running game is my secret weapon. If they can stay healthy the Rams will have a much more balanced attack. Sony Michele was the only decent back they had last year and they literally stunk in the playoffs. Thank God the D played lights out.

I'd like to see Brycen Hopkins have a breakout year.

I got two #8 Bradford… 1 home, 1 away… They’ll be cool to wear in 15 years or so. I wish I had a Fitzpatrick.

I know all of Henderson's nagging injuries are frustrating but his career avg of 4.5 yards per carry is impressive and so were his hands in the Super Bowl
