Now that's a first never seen a missed XP lined under the bar.
They have watched their team finish with a winning record for a decade and make the playoffs regularly but lose 8 straight playoff games and mostly don’t look like they belong. They are definitely faithful but disappointed. Not to mention Steelers have that coveted fanbase.
You weren't supposed to tell people about my ARod pillow covers or underoos!K
It's ok to admit your Rodgers love...
3PM...LFG!3pm Sunday is my guess. Just tell us now.
Personally I wouldn't fire Tomlin after making the playoffs yet again. Though he has probably been there long enough for his message to be stale.Prediction: Tomlin and Steelers part ways. Won’t be called a “firing” but he won’t be back.
Tomlin could definitely use an upgrade at GM and OC.Personally I wouldn't fire Tomlin after making the playoffs yet again. Though he has probably been there long enough for his message to be stale.
But watching that game the problem was the Steelers continued dependency on shitters like Metcalf. Inability to pass protect at all. Inability to scheme Rodgers into space with rollouts. Inability to open up the passing game and recognize that the vet arm is a better chance than running those backs into a brick wall and losing yards and downs.
I'd fire the GM. And then I'd have Tomlin assist in interviewing and hiring a new GM for him to work with and maybe a new OC. But then I think a lot of Tomlin. He's one of the premier defensive head coaches, not a lot of those dudes around so I'd be after a GM who could give him a functioning offensive roster.
He's kind of a much better version of Jeff Fisher in terms of an old school defensive HC, with an archaic offense, full of old ideas.Tomlin could definitely use an upgrade at GM and OC.
I don't think Rodgers is a stable QB option due to you never know where his head is nowadays. But if that team that lost tonight to the Texans had protections for him the Steelers probably advance. Add receiving weapons on top of that and they'd be a tough out. He's kind of a much better version of Jeff Fisher in terms of an old school defensive HC, with an archaic offense, full of old ideas.
I just read that Tomlin and Chuck Knoll are tied in career win. They said no way they fire him this year. They want him to get the career wins record.Prediction: Tomlin and Steelers part ways. Won’t be called a “firing” but he won’t be back.
Eight playoff losses in a row????? How do you fix that?I just read that Tomlin and Chuck Knoll are tied in career win. They said no way they fire him this year. They want him to get the career wins record.
And in years when they've had a reasonably high pick (#10 in 2019, #14 in 2023), the QB prospects have been lacking.I don't think Rodgers is a stable QB option due to you never know where his head is nowadays. But unfortunately for them he may not be interested in playing there if he opts for another season, and even if he did they're still in QB purgatory due to his age. It's a tough spot to be in because in a way Tomlin makes it hard to find a QB by winning so much.
The OC thing has been what's needed for a decade now. Tomlin has the same issue that sunk Fisher, refuses to get an innovator to run the offense in the modern setting. He wants to play good defense and play ball control offense... that shit doesn't work in today's NFL. It's good enough to win you games and squeak into the playoffs most years but gets you bounced immediately as soon as you play either a team with an even better defense or a team with a high flying offense.Tomlin could definitely use an upgrade at GM and OC.
