Rams TED RATH’S STATUS


Rams strength and conditioning coach Ted Rath remains on leave from the team as he awaits trial on three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery. In the meantime, the Rams, too, are “still waiting on things to be cleared up,” McVay said on Monday.

Rath was charged earlier this year for an incident that took place at a private residence Moorpark in June 2018. If convicted, he could face a maximum of 18 months in jail.A tentative trial date has been set for May 31.
 
If this is the first offense for him he will probably get a suspended sentence or be placed on probation.

If convicted. Misdemeanor "groping" charges filed seven months later? Sounds like that would be a difficult case for the D.A. to gather sufficient evidence.

The timing right after he had a video that went viral would also suck for optics with a jury.

This sounds more like somebody looking for a payday, may end up in Civil court.

Have the Rams made any contingency plans for a Rath replacement?

I haven’t heard of any. That implies that the Rams believe that he can soon be reinstated.

Rath’s Is a very important role in team success. The health and conditioning of Ram players under his guidance has been quite impressive.

Hope all this crap can get behind him by end of next month.
