I thought everybody realized that sorry. Littleton is more like Barron so it's natural for him to be in that spot and maintain the helmet microphone he had last year then they put Kiser into the role Middleton had that was the more run defender that he was not built for. Middleton will cover and rush the passer and in passing downs Kiser comes off in obvious passing downs. I also think they've shown us a common lineup we'll see this year and we saw some last year too. AD and Brockers up front with Fowler, Matthews, Littleton and Fox/Long/Lawler/(instert any edge here) so a 2-4 front with likely as well a 3 safety formation with Talib and Peters then our 3 safeties JJ, Weddle and Rapp.

we all knew that would make sense but every article i've read before camp said kiser was replacing barron. shows not to put much trust in articles before training camp.

Replacing him as a starting linebacker, it's easier to say that then replacing Littleton who's replacing Barron.

Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Good teammate but I think we all know what we get with Hager and it situational at best.

They're both very limited tbh. Hager is a bit more all around I think, probably marginally better vs the pass, and Kiser is more of a run specialist. What worries me with Kiser is late in the game and the opposing offense goes hurry-up locking him out there while they attack the middle of the field.

IMO the game is trending more and more towards coverage with those ILBs. So Rapp showing so well thus far in coverage is a great sign for him and for us. If we're facing a mashing offense like Seattle sure, keep the run stuffer in there on early downs. But if you can handle the run and keep a nickelbacker out there instead I think that's the way to go.

Littleton might not have the microphone this season. I've heard/read Weddle may take over receiving and calling the plays in the huddle.

Yeah I made the post during the first joint practice Weddle had one. But when he was off the field somebody else had it. I bet during these practices multiple people have it. We'll know for certain soon who calls the plays though but Wade and McVay has said Littleton would "keep his job" which I'm guessing means that huddle leader.

Just to be sure, I love Littleton. I've referred to him as Biggleton after some of his great plays. I'm only referring to whether or not he calls the defensive plays. He's a starter on this team for sure. Just clarifying!

When I first read the report about Weddle calling the defense I was both surprised and intrigued.

Without a doubt Weddle has the chops to call the D and put us in the right place - although his position sometimes negates him from being close to the line of scrimmage.

I was a little surprised because I wasn't sure that Weddle would be a 100% of the time player for the D.

I'll be interested to see how it works out if he does call the D. Does anyone have any examples of a safety being the central call unit?

That was me asking about Kiser!

Has that changed your view on Kiser ?? When I went to training camp he was getting sideline to sideline pretty good. I posted he is a tackling machine . Lead the team in tackles during preseason last year.
Hager is a excellent special teams guy , but not the mlb Micah is. Littleton signed for one year ?? I believe ?? So who is The Rams future MLB’er ?? Just a question I’m asking ??
