I doubt James is fully focused on football, he probably spends most of his time preparing for the Competitive W Eating Circuit.

For all you Fantasy players...

My son just showed me that his league apparently allows you to play Hill as a TE or a QB. He noticed that and picked him up earlier this week. He's playing Hill at TE on his team and he's playing a real QB too. Seems like a savvy move... since he'll be able to score points just like a QB at the TE position.
I did the same thing with a couple of ESPN teams. His projection as a TE was 3 and his QB projection is 18. NFL and CBS leagues just list him as QB.

Winston sucks as a real QB, but was good as a fantasy QB. When he was at TB, Godwin and Evans were both in the top 8 as receivers. Damn interceptions kill his ass.

It is worrying that he’s thrown so few passes and compared to Jameis there’s no comparison. But considering all the money Hill is making the Saints need to see what he’s got, plus they announced to the world that Hill was the heir apparent, so why did they back up the brinks truck for this guy, who were they bidding against? They put themselves in this box and we all get to watch it play out, good or bad.

There’s something about that Hill that I really dislike. Might be the fact he’s a bit of a busy baby door. Hope he fails miserably.

Please do some more translating for me on that one! "A busy baby door".

I must soak in it's true meaning, and again, I am literally clueless right now. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks Brudda

Hill is Tim Tebow 2.0 without the Heisman. He does use foul language though. That's the best description I can think of for him.

One more thing... his belief that he is 10ft tall and bullet proof is going to result in him getting physically broken up sooner or later. Either just because of the sheer number of hits he's exposing himself to or because his attitude is gonna piss off the wrong defender. It's gonna happen.

I can't understand how Payton wants Hill over a guy who threw for over 5k yards, but had turn over issues.

You'd think that working on decision making and ball security with someone capable of being that prolific would be easier than a glorified slash player, but w/e.

I think Hill gets figured out really quickly.

He's not fast or elusive like any of the running/scrambling QBs... Jackson, Watson, Murray, Wilson. He's closer to Allen, but without the big arm.

I think they'll be looking for a QB after next year.

He's a gadget guy that thinks he's an NFL caliber starting QB.

I sent an email to my FF list near the end of the first-half pointing out how beyond average his play was up to that point. Got roasted a little as the day went on but I still don't see it.

And Payton's man-crush is borderline Martz-ian "I'm smarter than all you idiots," nonsense that, if un-checked, could potentially damage everything he's built there.

And it is still true that nobody anywhere loves anything more than Asshole Face loves Taysom Hill.

You guys are tough on him. He played for the same High school that I played for. My friend is his Uncle. I’ve met Taysom, and he’s a nice, smart, upstanding guy. And all you guys make him him seem like some big ol jerk, even though you’ve never met him.
WELL I HAVE, AND RIGHT NOW I HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION ON WHO ARE ACTING LIKE JERKS!

Final numbers weren't horrible, 'cept for a fumble. But they were playing Atl and the D could do no wrong so ultimately didn't hurt.

I watched only the first half and bits of the 2nd half. IMO he looked lost unless he was improvising. Made a couple good throws but also looked like he wanted to just run it every time he dropped back. Made ATL's defense look pretty good at times.

Having said that, i think it's a good decision to go with Hill right now. The mobile types with no scouting film on them are the best backup QB's to have IMO.

He's not as elusive but he is fast. He ran a 4.44 at his Pro day.

He had two passes in the first half that were pretty much jump ball passes. You won’t see those on the highlight shows...

He played okay. But backup quality okay.

By the second half he was looking pretty comfortable. I watched the whole game and overall he looked good. The fumble was after running 20+ yds, which until the fumble was a damn impressive run. As the game progressed his passing became more confident and accurate. Very strong arm on the short to intermediate routes. His long balls were both mis timed and short, but caught! Time will tell but he could be a legit threat.

Anyone watching ESPN? It’s a Hill love fest.

You aren’t alone @LARams_1963 in seeing some good things.

I don’t like him, at all. Weird he is so polarizing. Because I am watching this going... “what’s the deal here? why does it feel so over the top”?
