We'll see if Liam can get him going. Turn him loose on crossing patterns from some trips. Will be interesting to see what he does in preseason like last year. Maybe if he shows effort like McVay says he can sneak into the O this coming year.

No they shouldn’t been sending him over the middle. Too much risk of getting lit up. I’d give him mostly sideline routes or deep routes so he can get out of bounds or at least with some space he may be able to go down.
And this is my issue with your takes, right here.

Skowronek was on the game day roster and was a negative.

So he really doesn't.
Ben was a good blocker and he also made some plays. I doubt Tutu can be an effective blocker. Plus the Rams traded Woods, because they signed a talker receiver with great ability to make contested catches. The drafted Skowronek and Harris, all tall receivers that fit. Tutu will be at a weight and height disadvantage competing with these receivers.
The weird thing about the first one is that Brian Allen was the starting C on a Super Bowl winning team.

I guess people are playing Madden in their heads and assuming a rookie center would have been able to do what Allen could - being in his FOURTH year under McVay.

That's.......a stretch. Allen is likely light years ahead of Humphrey mentally.

For that reason I wouldn't trade Allen for Humphrey right now.
Humphries played better than Allen. So if you consider potential over the next three years, assuming they both improve Humphries still ends up being the better player. However as I stated before, it would be the same take on Atwell even if Humphries was off the board.
This thread has mainly been focused on Atwell.

the weight difference between jojo and tutu fluctuated between who took the bigger dump in the morning, So we had the 2 smallest guys in modern history, we should have learned from the first, AND tavon. jojo's career numbers show he was not ok. 38 games played out 80 is not ok. more fumbles than td's not ok. The rams didn't get rid of him because he was ok, right? jojo, tutu..haha
And Jojo wasn’t a second round pick.

There are some given qualities that I didn't think I needed to state. Sko actually was available last season and he must have shown something during practice that McVay liked. McVay also likes Tutu, but he was injured. Sko could miss out too if some rookies wow the coaches in the offseason, you never know.

I stand by what I said.

I think Allen is a good center but I think Humphrey is already a very good center and is going to be a great center who will be a fixture for years. Plus he doesn't have an injury history that I know of.

I personally think we should beat this horse some more. There are so many fresh takes to be had on the subject. I mean... It's obvious. Look at all the new stuff. I had no idea he was too small, overdrafted, taken at a position of surplus, Creed was available... I'm sure I'm missing something.

I dunno. This just seems like a troll thread of sorts.

Tutu is a smaller version of Tavon Austin. But at least we didn't trade up to number 8 overall to get him. That is probably the most positive comment I can make about drafting him.

In 2015, Tavon Austin had 907 yards from scrimmage and scored 10 TDs. Not enough to justify Tavon’s his draft position, but I’d take 2/3 of that from Tutu this year and be pretty happy.

At least we’re all HOPING he’ll succeed, right?

I mean, I’d hate to think some are more interested in being able to say “called it” than they are in seeing a Ram draftee thrive.

That’s not how anyone feels, right?

Right?
I 100% want him to succeed with us. Jet sweeps, crossing, deep. You can't teach speed.
Kupp, Allen, Higgs, (hopefylly OBJ at some point). He's another dynamic option and you can't defend them all.

Nah I feel like they're completely different players which gives me hope. Tutu can actually run good routes and has good hands. He's very straight line fast but no where near as shifty in space like Tavon was. He cant make people miss in the open field like Tavon. To me Tutu is a real receiver whereas Tavon was just RB in a small body. But Tutu has less muscle mass it seems so looks even smaller to me than Tavon did.

I like that the kid is motivated and I really hope he comes out and has a nice 2nd year. Because if he and Stafford can get a connection going on the deep ball he could put up some numbers. He's better at tracking the deep passes than Van Jeff so we'll have some options on those routes. A big part of why the Woods trade made sense to me was because we have to get Tutu/Harris/Van all touches this year.

I want him to succeed but I just don't know where he fits especially now that Powell emerged as a very good returner. He's got at least 4 guys ahead of him assuming we resign OBJ and possibly 5 with Jacob Harris.

Yeah, allen is rated at 80 with 5 sacks and 5 penalties in 900 snapes. humphrey is the highest rated player on the chiefs at 93 with 1 sack and 6 penalties in 1100 snaps. his ceiling looks much higher. I liked allen when we drafted him but then saw that he wasn't starter calibur only to be proven wrong. He is a top 10 guy and I'm happy he proved me wrong but humphrey is the shit and he's on a rookie contract so I don't see the debate.

If he grabs between 15-30 receptions, 2-4 TDs (a couple 40+ yarders) and around 200-400 yards, as at best the 4th but most likely the 5th WR depending on OBJ. I’d be just peachy.
