McVay hinted that they will be looking to acquire somebody to fulfill Sammy’s role and continue to develop existing players while perhaps spreading the catches among other positions. His focus isn’t to hold serve, but to improve. He sounds like they have a plan but are just getting started.

Les was very direct about the fact that several players, while good, were not scheme fits for Wade’s defense. I boldly predict four starters on defense next year are not currently on the team.

Heard McVay on NFL Sirius drivin home tonight (re-hooked it up for $30 for a year couldn't pass that offer up). He went on a bit about Sammy and what a loss it was, and how they were still looking to see what the best way forward was to replace him.

Also talked up the two CBs as well as Shields in how all three fit what the Rams want to do which is manning up on wideouts. Mentioned NRC and how well he fit what they do, as well as how they could use him with some flexibility too.

Most of it was stuff this board is pretty much plugged in to, but as always I love hearing him interviewed. The dude straight up has the gift of gab lol.

That front seven seems like it will settle nicely considering it looks like we can play straight man on the back end at least 4 or 5 deep.

Years ago I was watching a Seahawks game - when they were still in the AFC, and Krieg was their QB - when, because of penalties, they ended up 1st and goal on the 47. The funny thing was the next play was pass interference, and they got a more normal 1st and goal.

Do you mean Predicted? Or are you predicting four more guys moving on next year. No offense but with a salary cap and contracts nearing an end, every team has change. But if you are talking scheme fit, it seems that the entire secondary is set. They likely draft a middle linebacker, and an outside linebacker and only need a NT which could come in the draft or free agency. Who else is moving on that doesn't fit?
