Tickets on the secondary market have been falling. If they keep doing so I might be able to go. The cheapest tickets right now are just over $2,200 - before fees. I had seen a few last night at $2,180. Those are gone now, so I’m wondering if the market has found the floor. What do you think the cheapest tix will end up being? I’m hoping for $1,800 or less. My brother thinks prices may crash to $1,000.

Now, about those fees. StubHub is charging $700 service fee on a $2,200 ticket. So is SeatGeek, but they have an ad saying you can enter a promo code and get $300 off. Ticketsforless says they don’t charge a fee, but can they be trusted. I went to BBB site and a couple of reviews are from folks who say they either never got their tickets or got fake tickets, and they never got their money back because the company makes impossible demands for getting a refund.

And then there’s eBay, which could be a way to avoid fees, but is probably the most risky.

I’ve only used StubHub for tickets, for sports and concerts, and I’ve never had a problem. But I don’t remember getting bent over this badly on the fees.

Anyone had good or bad experiences with ticketsforless or any other reseller who doesn’t kill you on the fees?

Anyone else checking StubHub every ten minutes?

TicketIQ says they would charge me $341 service fee on a $2,600 ticket. They don’t have as good a selection, and I need a single, which is harder to find and usually more expensive at this point.

The fees are fkn crazier than the prices.

One footnote ....Patriots sideline tickets are going for a cool 2-3 thousand dollars more than Ram sideline tickets. So yeah...gouge them yanks alittle deeper. Love it.

Doesnt Ebay have a square trade clause though?

Dont forget that ebay own stubhub....so those two would be the safest bet imo.

I never use seat geek or vivid because they seem to me to have higher fees and also it feels like resellers congegrate there. You're more likely to get private sellers at stubhub (people that wanted to go, but cant and must sell)

I don’t know what a square trade clause is. No service fees?

As part of the TOS for eBay, I believe that have a square trade clause, such that if you don't receiver your merchandise or it is defective or fraudulent, you can contact eBay and they will void the transaction.

I always use PayPal when using eBay and that gives me a secondary source of security because they will also void the transaction if it's fraudulent.

Also, and I can't stress this enough... don't pay cash or with any other liquid instrument. ALWAYS use a Credit Card for purchases like this because between eBay, PayPal and your CC, you have three gateways to monitor and address your transaction if it goes bad.

I've come across sellers that will accept things like iTunes cards and I couldn't run away fast enough...

If you do score ticket where do you stay? Seems every room is booked within an hour. The only way I see is going the package route but then you pay through the nose.

Wouldnt buy tickets alone because of those fees. 700 for a digital transaction, is that for real? Pure robbery.

freak those guys, buy from a scalper.

It's the smart play.

I’m wary. Bought from a scalper outside an NBA game and that went fine, but no recourse if you get scammed. Still, it’s tempting to just head to Atlanta and see what I can find outside the stadium.

If I go, no hotel for me. I’ll drive in Sunday morning and drive home after the game. About 6 hours for me each way. Long day, but it would be worth it.

Has anyone ever bought from a scalper at the Super Bowl? Any tips?

I've used Seatgeek before with no problems. TickPick is good too and charges no fees to buyer so what you see is what you get. And I hear ya about searching for just one ticket, more expensive and less options. I'm in the market for one ticket too. I think all of us searching for just one ticket should work together and maybe get tickets together. Anybody looking for just one ticket can message me to see if we are like minded on how much you are willing to spend and how bad of a ticket you are willing to get. We might match up on our preferences. I don't plan on going to ATL without a ticket so I'll probably be buying by Friday.

Bigredtickets on ebay has a 100% rating and no crap opinions on the interweb with no fees.

Fees are insurance and your comfort level.

Just being in the show is important to me. No matter the seat.

Too old to take chances.

GO RAMS!!!

Airbnb still has options available at expectable prices.

Hit and miss with those but you will get a bed with a shower.

Maybe a squirrel in the mix but still, you will be okay.

A co worker of mine has an Air B&B room available on the Northside near Suntrust Park.

Let me know if you need his number.

Looking for two tickets around 2k with fees included each, hopefully these sites will drop. They were all time low yesterday as I have been keeps my close eye. So far, prices back up a couple hundred bucks today. Hope by mid week they crash again...

And for those who haven’t seen the fees yet, I hope you’re sitting down.. FUCKING RIP OFF

Yeah, some back up $300+ today. Past decade of trends say they’ll gradually work their way down from here on out but New Orleans surprised me mightily. Fees are running 20% +. It’s a shame.

eBay is not a bad option.

Tickets up another $300 today. This is going to get stressful down the stretch. Surely, they'll take a downward turn next week. :sadwalk:
