I hear your frustration but I don't think i'm the only one who is just fine with Case remaining the starting QB(we're just not as vocal). People aren't staying home because of our QB.

I don't want a first time starter who WILL be filled with nervous energy making his debut in front of hungry/weary crowd..... likely affecting his already questionable accuracy. .
He definetly isn't experienced enough to read defenses, call effective audibles, or have ability to extend a play. Three aspects needed for a chance at a W.

What exactly are you sucking through that straw?

I think I want some.

Tickets sold and attendance can be very very different numbers.
Especially If you get a lot of Free-Loading Media Types getting Free Tickets!(y) I'm not sure IF this happens, But I would bet it does!;):D

What you should say is your jealous of real college football programs like Michigan how they have had 30 years ish of packing 110+ thousand every game! :ROFLMAO::sneaky::whistle: Pretty good thing they created huh?
In Oakland....hugging....mugging.....can look the same from a distance.

Stadium is packed man it's a bitch trying to do anything outside of your seat. We don't buy anything inside anymore you'll miss a whole quarter of the game. Tailgate then watch the game is the way to go.
It's an old facility.
Almost any game I go to I never go to concessions during the game. Just too slow.
My funniest experience with this was going to a Rockies Dodgers game in Colorado. I was visiting a friend and hadn't seen the Dodgers since I left Ca. He got tickets to the game as a surprise. Sweet. I told him I would hane the consessions as pay back. Long story short it was a typical old style Rockies game, Dodgers won 14-11 of memory serves. Standing in consession lines I missed all 14 Dodger runs. All about timing.

I grew up there...One of the things that used to be incredulous to me was 35,000 people showing up out of a base LA COUNTY population of 7,000,000 people...Don't have any idea what it is now...That doesn't include anybody from outside of that...35,000 is just a # plucked from the sky, btw, don't know what the low water mark was...

I've heard concessions at games have been awful. Not enough outlets and I understand there's a serious lack of refrigeration. I heard they ran out of water during the SEA game.

I love the Coliseum but it seems the layout/logistics are not even close to NFL standards. It doesn't effect me at end of the day being on the opposite coast and stuff. I hope to continue reading fans experiences during home games.

And they moved out of STL because our stadium wasn't first tier. LOL

It's still a shiny new toy. Even is some of the people that went to the first two games don't go this week. There will be others. There is enough of a population base that it would take a couple years of bad records for attendance to drop.

This would be my take as well. But I think it could even be worse (record wise).

I think the new stadium is estimated to be complete in 2019? Obviously, that will pack them in initially. But if they suck, will the fans still show up after a while?

I think it's hard to say how the product will affect attendance. The wild card there is the secondary market.

I've gone to a few Cowgirl games in JerryWorld when the Girls were not doing well. They still pack 'em in because the stadium is a draw for out-of-town fans who see Dallas as a destination and the Stadium a curiosity... so they make a vacation out of seeing their home team play in Dallas.

L.A. is clearly more of a destination that Dallas, so I could see Kroenke getting excellent attendance in the new stadium even if the team sucks.

Which make me want to :puke:

Yea I know it's older, I love the Coliseum overall. I don't mind the actual wait really at the consessions, it's the way its all set up that makes it take forever really. Think a disneyland ride line but with no rails as a pathway and everyone thats walking by constantly crossing in between the line so most of the time the line is just blended in with everyone else. They don't have anyone out there directing traffic and it just turns into a mad house free for all.

Even though this is the 3rd home game in LA, I think fans are becoming restless with the results so far this season, so I'm thinking 65,000 max at the game.

There is enough of a population base that it would take a couple years of bad records for attendance to drop. People who don't really pay attention to the numbers like to talk about the so called "Lakers bad attendance" with their couple years of losing in a row, granted the Lakers are one of the most storied franchises in sports and in a different league than the Rams, but their bad attendance? Still sold out 98% of their arena. I think half the teams in the NFL don't report that kind of attendance and the NFL fudges their numbers so badly it's impossible to tell how many are actually there unless you look at the stands.

For the Lakers that's not good though.

And their local ratings in the last two years have taken double digit drops. Last season it was 23% off of the previous year and 3osomething % one another network.

I'm a Lakers fan by the way and have been since The Logo, Wilt, Happy Hairston, Gail Goodrich (my fave at the time) won it all.

They have had three years in a row with 27, 21 and 17 wins. They HAVE to get some talent and STOP the coaching carousel that never works.

Let's hope Luke can coach like his Dad could play. (fingers crossed)

By the way.......the bolded part.

There is NO team in professional sports as storied as the Lakers. And no team more successful. They have missed the playoffs fewer times than any pro team in the history of pro sports. It's nearly unthinkable that a team can miss the playoffs only 5 times before this recent 3 year drought but they did that. Even with 8 misses in all these years in's just an incredible accomplishment.

And they still have more wins than any team in the leagues history, the highest total wining percentage..........and 31 trips to the Finals, 10 more than the Celtics. For perspective on that the Yankees have been to the World Series 40 times but have been in existence almost 5 decades longer.

As fans they have really spoiled us........it's been a long fun ride and I hope they get back on track ASAP.

yeah, but it is just a wee bit easier to get into the playoffs in the NBA than in MLB

Good point. I will say, going to games at the Coliseum is like seeing them back in the 70's. It's a trip, a time warp.
And, to know it's only temporary, this venue with the Rams, will never be again once the new place is built makes it even more nostalgic. It is old as heck though and those concrete stairs are treacherous for the elderly.
