I would like to see the Rams try to establish the run game then hit Tutu deep.

Speaking of Tutu/run game, whatever happened to the jet sweep? I haven’t seen anything like that ran since Tutu almost took one to the house against the 9ers.

Yea the days of bubble screens and WR sweeps have faded.

I think they became so predictable as a staple of Mcvay's offense that they became ineffective as teams practiced to stop it weekly.

It wouldn't hurt to bring 'em back now that the surprise element is there.

Tutu can run them and Puka as well.

I also like Puka on some WR screens vs smaller DB's. He has the size to break a few tackles and make it a positive gainer.

Mcvay needs to get back to some quick, shorter passes. Way too much long developing plays.

Protect the ball and they win this game. Pittsburgh should be 1-4 if not for a strip sack late in the 4th vs Cleveland and 2 takeaways in the last 4 minutes vs Baltimore. These guys allow 144 yards/g on the ground and have scored a whopping 5 offensive TDs in 5 games. They've allowed 400 yards of offense in 3 games and 30 points twice. Once to SF in week 1 and once to Houston....yes Houston...in week 4. Don't give them a short field by turning the ball over. Run it down their throats (past TJ Watt) and let them make mistakes on offense. They have 6 turnovers in 5 games. Simple and basic, clique but do that and we're 4-3.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson has been activated off of injured reserve and will play in the team's Week 7 game versus the Los Angeles Rams, the Steelers announced Saturday.
Johnson had his practice window opened on Monday and was a full participant throughout the week, leading to his activation.
"I am very excited. It's been a long process, fighting to get back. I am looking forward to showing them I am ready for Sunday," Johnson said, via the team website.
Johnson had three catches on six targets for 48 yards in Week 1 versus the 49ers, but had to come out of the game after he suffered a hamstring injury, and ended up missing the next five weeks as he recovered.

But with Johnson now healthy again, the Steelers will be happy to welcome back their leading receiver for each of the past three years, with wideout most recently recording 86 receptions for 882 yards in 2022.
Pittsburgh's passing offense has struggled thus far in 2023, ranking 27th in the league in pass yards per game with 187.8. The Steelers will hope the return of Johnson can help kickstart the lagging unit.

Though Pittsburgh will be getting Johnson back this week, they will be without another offensive option in tight end Pat Freiermuth, who was placed on injured reserve with his own hamstring injury on Saturday.
Freiermuth had already been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Rams, with NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reporting on Friday that the tight end would likely miss time beyond this weekend after aggravating his injury during Thursday's practice. With Saturday's roster move, it now becomes official that Freiermuth, who already missed Week 5 with the injury, will be out until at least Week 11.
The Steelers (3-2) will visit the Rams (3-3) this Sunday coming off a bye week, with kickoff scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET in Los Angeles.

When we got ourselves to 2-3 and looking better than expected, I looked at last week's game and this one as the pivotal moments for the season. Can we beat a team we're supposed to beat? And not be trying to eke it out at the end? Check that one off.

Now we have another team we can beat. But not as easily. Its a game we could lose too. Win this one. Go to 4-3. And I think we'll see more people believing in this year's Rams. Every game is pivotal when you get to it. But this is the one that I think will make us legit contenders if we win.

If we lose then we're back to the middle of the pack or worse knowing we can lose to marginal teams. To me, this game will tell us more about our team than any game we've played so far.

I'm curious about who's starting at LT for them. Seems to be a spot of some trouble for Steelers.. hoping Young can take advantage. He worked over a veteran last week.

All our lesser offensive outings we have been beat in protections. The pass rush is the key to beating the Rams and the Steelers are good there. This will probably be an ugly game.

But if the OL holds up in their protections that Steeler secondary has no shot. They are bad on the back end.

Really like our chances. Steelers gonna try to bully us in the trenches so I hope the Rams are ready for physicality.
