One year ago tonight, Mrs. Ramlock and I were in Pittsburgh for Game 1 of the Final

Nothing like it!

Born and raised on footballl...Razorbacks and Rams

But, Penguins hockey has elbowed onto the program.

Was most impressed with VGK's fourth line stepping up big time in the 3rd period. That bang-bang play of Theodore-to-Nosek for the go-ahead goal was a thing of beauty. Shea Theodore gets a 5-star fist bump not just for the sweet pass, but for keeping the puck in the zone to make that goal happen:

This is really an amazing phenomenon. Prior to the Sharks series, I had literally not watched 15 minutes of hockey in my entire (70 year old) life.
Watched the Sharks and Jets series, am getting a little bit of a handle on the game, and absolutely fucking LOVE the Knights.
Bandwagoner, front runner - whatever. I'm guilty, but man, this is an exciting game, and of course the whole Vegas/Expansion team thing.

Pretty damn cool.

I just tried to place an $8550 wager on Knights, and it wouldn't take it.

I just do not understand the sports book.:headexplosion:

highlite Stanley cup, Game 2
click on wager
highlite 100
type in 8550
click make wager

OK - so I cannot highlite the "100", overtype with my 8500, or do I have to use the +/- button.

BTW, never said it wasn't my fault - (that was a given).

Edit - worked this time. Don't know how I screwed up last time - thanks!

I had to change the channel in disgust after the Caps went up 4-0. Switched over to NFL Network just in time to catch the re-air of the Top 100 (and see our boy JG16 come in at 38).

I guess no Cinderella season is complete without the team coming back from a 3-1 series hole -- it ain't over til it's over.

Guess not

It was disgusting or disappointing.

I hate that trap that Washington plays...hate it.

But Vegas can’t seem to break it.

And they’re doing a terrible job in their own end. You can’t have TJ Oshie come walking across the crease unchallenged 10 times a game.

My brother is a Caps season ticket holder. A long sufferer. He's flying out to Vegas for the next game.

I'm torn... because it's hard for me not to like the Golden Knights since their owner is a UCF grad and he named his hockey team after the old UCF mascot. UCF used to call themselves the Golden Knights... they dropped the "Golden" a few years back and just call themselves the Knights now. My oldest son is a UCF grad.

Ok, I'll take the bait. What?

The owner, Bill Foley, is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, whose athletic teams have long competed as the Army Black Knights. Mr. Foley had initially hoped to call his new hockey team the Black Knights but encountered resistance, including some from West Point.
So he went with Golden Knights instead — but now, it seems, that wasn’t enough.

The Army, it turns out, has a parachute team known as the Golden Knights. And when the hockey franchise unveiled its name in November 2016, West Point officials took note, saying they were “reviewing the situation and figuring out what the way ahead would be.”
